RIP Paul.

Surely Les & Pam will now be leaving the show?

They have now lost their Grandson after losing their Son!

Have Roger Sloman & Lin Blakely finished filming now?

Hope not I quite like them and the Christine storyline is far from over.

However it will be heartbreaking when Les has to prepare Paul's body for the funeral.

I can't see them staying- the way that Jonny Labey has spoken it makes me think Les & Pam are/have been written out too.

They will stay to run the business now Paul has gone. Can't understand why people think that have to leave now he's gone. They were around before he arrived so no reason they can't stay. Plus not seen anything or anybody indicating that they have left/are leaving

I want them to stay

I don't see why they have to leave just because their grandson has died.

I hope they don't, i like them and I'd like to see the aftermath of this - how a couple, who still aren't that old, deal with having their only grandchild die, when they've already lost their only child.

I hope not, they're just a nice, friendly, down to earth couple who have really grown on me since last summer. I think they're both good actors (although Slomans facial expressions make me laugh occasionally). I think the scenes where The Cokers find out Paul's dead will actually be quite sad.

I hope Christine wears a fetching black ensemble for the funeral.

Agreed and they were around long before Paul arrived so this should be no different.

They lasted in the show before their wooden grandson came to visit so they will last after.

Just because a family member dies don't assume the whole family has to leave.

Poor Pam. She'll have to alter the morning coat back to fit Les again!

I want them to stay so babe can be revealed as the evil little bitch she is.

They definitely have unfinished business with Babe. Plus I like the fact they run the Funeral parlour.

I liked the Coker's until all that dressing as a woman nonsense and being blackmailed over a photo that could quite easily been dismissed as a one off for a fancy dress party started.

Do remember that Roger and Lin went on holiday with Jonny Labey very soon after he finished filming. If they don't leave permanently then they almost certainly have a break coming up.

I think they will stay, I hope so. It will be devastating for them to lose Paul, whatever else EE has done to these characters it is obvious they both love Paul very much.

I hope they stay, print out the blackmail emails and slam them on the bar at the Vic for Mick and Linda to read.
The death of a loved one does help to focus on what's really important and what isnt.
The stupid blackmail storyline needs to end with Babe getting all she deserves.

You seem to be obsessed with this notion that they will be leaving as well.

I see no reason why they should have to! They were both in the show almost a year before Paul came along and they worked fine and will continue to work fine.

They both have a lot going for them story line wise, the Christine stuff, Babe's blackmail, Paul's Mum- plus they both fit into the community well and Pam may not want to leave the last place Paul called home- where her memories of him are strongest.

I think they have been written extremely badly. They throw a secret at them every six months and hope it pays off. Les helping Nick fake his death didn't go anywhere. Pams confession about killing Laurie didn't go anywhere. Les secret was dragged out, with the writers hoping we would think he was having an affair but it was so obvious that it flopped. Now the blackmail is being dragged out and is going around in circles and Pam has another secret which has yet to be revealed.

I wouldn't miss them if they went. If they stick around they need to be given some proper development and need to function as characters rather than a string of secrets.

I do enjoy them as a stable older couple though

Oh no, not Jean she is far too high pitched and shrill her voice grates after about 5 minutes.

Hopefully not Pam at least. I could take or leave Les.
