What is "MyLauren"?

I missed the coining of this phrase entirely, but what is "MyLauren", who came up with it, and when?

MyLauren, is exactly that, MyLauren.

J-B will say it's his Lauren, but she is actually mine.

It goes way back before Lauren. It's just a joke,a way to lay claim to a character that you like. It could just as easily be myMartin or myRonnie. We just happen to have a poster that uses it a lot ATM. I blame Dot for starting it with myNick😀

If anyone is to blame surely it's Ethel with "mywillie"

Another variation is 'Rbrian', which was frequently used on CS.

I think re EE, it started being used a lot by posters a few years ago when Derek kept referring to his daughter as "My Alice'. Posters then started doing it as a way of laying claim or possession to a character they fancied - hence it tending to be the young, pretty girls "Mylauren, "MyCindy" etc.

BIB - Didn't the character used to be referred to on the forums as MyAlice? I'm sure I remember something about MyAlice and her Cupboard.

Isn't Jackson saying "Our lauren"? Pronounced in the Nottingham accent which is impossible to spell "aah Lauren" (our lauren).

Unless he's doing the Ali G thing "me Julie".

Personally I think it's juvenile and unnecessary.

Thanks.

MyAlice started to randomly shoplift, and kept the items in the cupboard under the stairs

Before that it was Honey who always referred to Billy as MyBilly and never just Billy. Kat was another one with her MyAlfie.

Yes they did, but they picked it up originally from Derek saying it, I think.

All this MyLauren stuff is getting a bit boring now

I think it is time to split up with Lauren and find another woman
