Bearing in mind that Kylie's parents probably named her after Ms Minogue, the age that she was (or possibly Kylie Flinker - one for the long term hard core Neighbours aficionados there ), you'd think they'd have made something of it, like have them go out on a date, or belt out Especially For You at a karaoke - after all, we have no reason to believe Neighbours doesn't exist in Corrieworld...

Given that these characters were extremely young at the height of Neighboursmania, I doubt the reference would even register with them. If the names were unusual, such as Sonny and Cher, then maybe it would be worth a mention. But Jason has been common for a long time and Kylie has become very common since the late 1980s.

When David was attacking Clayton yesterday on the roof Kylie Minogues 'Can't get you out of my head' was playing in the background. Nice touch.
