Dan Wooton has tweeted that a hunk is due to return.
The accompanying picture has Peter Beale, Ryan Malloy, Joey Branning and Danny Pennant in it.

I loathe Wooton. Hope it's Danny or Ryan.

Joey , just no.

Out of those, most likely Ryan.

Danny and Joey don't have a reason to come back.
Peter may be recast but it's most likely Ryan who has already had scenes earlier this year.

Hopefully this time Ryan gets to have scenes with Stacey. I think he will be part of Whitney's storyline and I can imagine him getting angry/violent with Lee if he finds out about his one night stand with Abi.

Really hope it's Ryan. I wouldn't mind Danny either. Peter and Joey, no.

Danny Pennant I thought could have been developed more.

Please be Danny. I have no interest in the others.

I know it's probably not, but it would be great if it was Peter! That would set things up nicely in the square with Steven and Lauren around.

Surely Ben Hardy isn't returning anytime soon though? Unless they were recasting.

Danny was greatly underrated. Like Jake Stone, was written out well before his time. DTC was stupid getting rid of decent Newman characters just because she was shit as EP.

HATED Ryan after his recent stint. Didn't care for him much during his original run. I don't want to see around Stacey or Martin, and I don't like Whitney enough to give her more.

Joey was abysmal although I saw the actor in an American drama recently. He's not a bad actor I think the writing for him was terrible. No reason to bring him back and revisit the stuff with Lauren.

Not bothered to see Peter Beale either way. If he's back fine, if not don't care.

You make a good point about Newman's characters.

Kierston Wareing was fantastic, DTC dropped the ball with her.

Meh, its clearly Derek.

It could either be Peter, the third reincarnation or Ryan. Peter could come back from NZ and get involved with Lauren and Stephen, or it could be Ryan having a trial over that manslaughter/murder and getting off with it.

Nick Cotton, I think he may still be alive, and I think he may well be Paul Coker's killer
