Naw I don't think its about that, Kate Oates just loves pregnancies. She had so many on Emmerdale it was ridiculous. This should be interesting though, I think its a soap first to have two women pregnant at the same time.

Apart from Eastenders which had Ronnie and Kat pregnant at the same time and i think has had a good few since. Wasnt Ronnie pregnant again whilst Kim was? Surely someone was pregnant too when Stacey was (i want to say Linda?)

This opens up the possibility of a Coronation Street/Jeremy Kyle crossover.

Going back even further than that Natalie and Lisa were both pregnant at the same time with Louise being born in November 2001 and Jack in January 2002.

I'm sure there's other examples. It can't be that uncommon.

As for this news ugh. More screentime for the dreadful Michelle, an unlikeable character if ever there was one played by a mediocre 'actress' (and I use the term actress loosely).

EE - Shabs and Stacey were both pregnant by Kush at the same time.

Also, years ago Gabby Willis (Brad's older sister) and Cheryl Stark in Neighbours both gave birth on the same day. For that extra touch of wackiness, both children were - independently - named Shannon. Within a few weeks, the kids were being called by their middle names of Zachary (Zac) and Louise (lLolly) - the middle names were chosen by Doug and Lou, not the mothers.

Actually, a Webster and Platt pregnancy double was repeated a decade later. Sarah gave birth to Bethany just as Kevin's wife Alison gave birth to baby Jake. However Jake died and Alison kidnapped Bethany before giving her up, upon which she committed suicide by running in front of a truck.

I have a feeling that Michelle will lose her baby- seems unlike that and planned pregnancies rarely go ahead without problems (if ever). Plus will give Michelle a chance to tell Steve that its all his fault, Steve will apologise and Liz will remind him that he's so lucky to have her
