No 9 is in more of a need of some decor... it's ludicrrous that Fizz and Tyrone have kept it like a museum to the Duckworths... they haven't even painted the blood door!!

They've had the same bloody door on that house since about 1967 and it last had a fresh lick of paint in 1995. There's no way in hell the production team will even consider repainting it for decades yet.

I don't understand the Jack and Vera shrine. I really, really adored both characters. But wouldn't a framed photo on the wall suffice? I'm surprised Ty and Fiz haven't got Jack and Vee's urns pride of place on the mantelpiece.

When Sally & Kevin bought No. 13 off Hilda Ogden, they papered over the truly iconic 'muriel' straight away. It was true to life - as much as they loved Hilda, there was no way in hell a young couple would opt to keep the seascape and brown fixtures and fittings. Fast forward to 2016 and you've got Tyrone and Fiz living alongside Jack's unemptied ashtrays, an old pan that was last handled by Vera in about 2003, and the remains of Boomer the dog in that front room that we never see.

I kind of want Kate Oates to tarmac over the cobbles.

Number 6 was never in bad shape to begin with. In fact I liked how it was done out right from when Des and Steph moved in. That new back door looks a tad ridiculous in such a small kitchen.

Number 9 on the other hand as someone else has said is the pits. It looks worse than it did 20 odd years ago.

I'm presuming the huge back door has got something to do with the conservatory they put on the back to piss of Sally lol. I still can't believe she actually had it done just to annoy a neighbour. I do like it though.

The weirdest remodel was when Ashley's house rearranged itself and the stairs went from one end of the house to the other.

It really does... it was ludicrous that the Mallets did nothing with it, now the Dobbs... In fact most of that house dates back to when Ken and Valerie lived there 50 years ago!

Remember "We shall not, we shall not be moved"?

If memory serves me correctly, the Mallets did number 9 out out in that awful purple colour! The Duckworths kept it for a long time after they moved back.

I remember the stairs moving at number 4. I think it was because people realised the old layout made no spacial sense as the landing would have occupied the front of the house (where you'd expect a bedroom to be)
