They've termed the person to die as a Coronation Street legend to me there isn't that many legends left in the cast;
Ken, Rita, Sally, Norris, Steve, Gail, Audrey, Kevin and Tracy are probably the ones that really stick out as legends of the show. I'm hoping the're not going to kill off an older character in an explosion, I'd much rather see them nod off gently.
Although I've got a horrible feeling this is Bill Roache's exit. He's achieved the goal he seems to have set of outlasting every other actor from the earliest cast now we can assume Eileen Derbyshires retired. Be a shame as I'd always prefer to see him go in his sleep with a close friend or family member he respects beside him (more difficult to do now though as he doesn't respect Tracy, Peter's gone awol and Diedre's died. Hopefully Chris Gascoine will return if he does go peacefully.)

Maria. I completely glaze over whenever this drip is on screen. Most of that is down to the appalling actress who delivers her lines in a half hearted manner and finishes off with that incredibly annoying sigh at the end of almost every line. Just amateurish acting in the extreme.

Yes because we don't have enough of it on the news almost everyday, so you expect the soap to use real life issues as a way to gain some quick ratings.
If Corrie delayed Tony Gordon blowing up Underworld because of the Cumbria shootings, they aren't going to have Zeedan shooting up the street.

I would have no objections to any of them getting killed off, along with Kirk.
But I think they will all be spared (or one or two of them make a rapid recovery following a stint in Weatherfield General)

I have my doubts it will be Ken (William Roache is willing to go on as long as his health is good) and I can't see any of the long running characters dying. Actually, I can't even see anyone who has been in it at least 15 years or more being killed. The last time I remember someone dying in a disaster and being in the show for a good while was Ashley Peacock.
I am not bothered about the death as long as there is good writing, acting and emotion. The tram crash was an emotional week, and not just about the deaths.
The deaths of Sean, Fiz, Dev, Sophie, Liz or Gary would send Kate Oates up greatly in my estimation.
Not going to happen though. The departing Les Dennis snuffing it is a good bet (the curse of Gail strking again) and probably some other new-ish character that no one cares about.
Guarantee 100% the 'hugely popular' Sean will be untouched. I would bet every penny I have on that. Most likely, he'll be nowhere near the scene of the explosion, or he'll annoyingly be stood at the other side of the street, stunning us with his best shocked face as the carnage unfolds.

It's not going to be Sophie. Brooke Vincent alongside the 3 Connors (Aidan, Kate and Jonny) just signed new 1 year contracts a few weeks ago.
Why does it have to be Zeedan and not for example Chesney or Michelle? Is it because all Muslims are terrorists and there have not been non-Muslim attackers?
