"I've never been so happy."/ "This is going to be the best Christmas evah!" etc.
Promptly followed by a tragic death, revelation of a horrible betrayal or digging up of a dark family secret. Sometimes all three! |

"We need to talk/I need to tell you something" followed by a distraction of some kind which leaves whatever unsaid.
"What's going on here?" "It's not what it looks like." |

In the pub 'my usual' - I've never heard a person say that in my whole life.

"Cup of tea?"
"I'll put the kettle on" "Love? You don't know the meaning of the word." (best read in Sharon's voice) "That's just it..........you DON'T think" (Phil says that a lot) "You mean the world to me" "Don't you EVER...." "How dare you come into MY house...." "Stop [gassing/mithering/gossiping] and do want I pay you for!" (Underworld bosses) |

'I love you' [even though we've only been going out for two weeks].
'He/she is the love of my life' [and so was my last partner and the one before and the one before ...]. 'I feel sick' [always means 'I'm pregnant']. 'I would never ...' [means 'I'm about to ...']. |

Lines that would instantly get me the sack or a warning from a boss:
"I need to pop out now there's an emergency at home" "I have to take my break now okay"! "Sack me anyway, I don't care I'm still going" Characters have no respect for their bosses during a scene, and come and go as they please when they feel like it often without asking first-where do you find a nice boss like that in real life? |

"I'm pregnant"
Probably one of the most used, especially by teens! |

Two people in a room talking about a secret: "Just tell him/her!"
Said person walks in right at that precise moment: "Tell me what?" |
