EE: Fox/Hubbard setup

Is it just me, or are the Foxes and Hubbards becoming weaker and weaker? It seems to me as if they serve no real purpose. Whilst Denise is a personal favourite character of mine, it feels like they can't find anything good for her and she's almost reached a shelf life. Jordan, Lucas and JJ were introduced at the start of the year but that went nowhere. Vincent is barely on screen and I'm fed up of this Donna and Vincent baby storyline. Claudette comes and goes, I don't really know what's next for her. Kim serves no real purpose either. Libby, who pops up now and again, is dull as dishwater.
There's also Patrick, who is underused and also sadly serves no purpose these days.
Is it sadly time to call it a day for these two families? Will that leave us with no family of black origin on the Square? Will we have a new family of African or Carribbean origin?

Even introducing Ada Fox or bringing Chelsea back may not do wonders. So what does everyone think - any storylines to get the families back on track? I'd be so sad to see them go, especially Denise, but if SOC can't find a way to help them, then I'd rather see them leave rather than be weakened by playing second fiddle to the show.

I like them. They're a bit of light relief amongst all the doom and gloom (particularly the Kim/Vincent pairing)

I think Ellen Thomas (Claudette) hasn't been around too much because she's been busy filming Mount Pleasant. Still hoping that she'll kill Babe after Les tells her that she's blackmailing them. Gavin was such a flop villain and Claudette has far more potential.

Babe's actions could be exposed to the Carters, who kick her out. On her way out of Walford Claudette strikes. Would solidify her place a villain and we'd be writing out one of the worst EE characters.

Ellen Thomas seems to be unable to commit full time, like when she was playing Grace. They should have cast an actress who actually wants employment with EE.

Ellen Thomas and Sam Womack are both in Mount Pleasant I believe.

They do seem very weak at the moment.

Denise is easily the best of the bunch, a great character but sadly underused. I love her friendship with Shirley.

They need to get rid of Claudette. I briefly got interested in her March time when she showed her true colours but her bitty appearances since then have watered that down. And it's daft that everyone would just forgive what she's done. I don't see how she can stay on the show indefinitely. They already have Ronnie who has killed someone.

Sean O'Connor may well axe Claudette as well as Vincent and Donna.

Kim is weak in my opinion- their is still some deadwood in the show.

I would keep Vincent and male his character more exciting

I quite like Denise as the sarky slightly bitter single woman and Kim as very occasional comic relief. I can't take to any of the Hubbards. Their back story has been very poorly written as has Claudette's daft resurrection.
