Last night we saw David visiting Kylie in the chapel of rest .. very emotional scene well played by Jack P. Shepherd, as we've come to expect.

There were one or two close-up shots of Kylie and I thought how serene and beautiful she looked in death, it just made her passing seem even more of a waste than it already is.

Oh, it was just heart breaking Jack has been absolutely fantastic in these scenes.

I have to agree with the BIB. I'm still really angry they've killed her off and totally agree that it was a waste of a brilliant character and a fantastic actress. She and David had so much more to give and they could have become one of Corrie's great couples, of that I have no doubt. You don't get chemistry like that, between actors, everyday.

I think Corrie have sacrificed long term stuff for this short term hit. I can't deny that Kylie's death wasn't brilliantly scripted and acted and it did what they wanted. Social media went into meltdown over it and the reaction has been overwhelmingly positive. However, I still think it was a total waste!

But Paula Lane wanted to leave and it's unlikely she'll ever return. You can't blame the writers for that part.

She always does look beautiful. She's stunning!



I'm still FURIOUS she's been killed off!

I know Paula had to leave cos she's pregnant and wanted to try something else too but I'm sure she said she never asked to be killed off so now I'm wondering if the bosses killed her off to punish her?

I think if she hadn't killed Callum, none of this would have happened. Yeah she would have gone on maternity leave, but she would have probably come back. To some ppl, her killing Callum probably backed Kylie into a corner

FFS why didn't Callum go to prison?! She wouldn't have been killed off if he had!

Yes, well, I'm not sure I entirely believe that but as none of us really know exactly what happened there's no point arguing about it

To the people angry at this, why don't you contact Corrie, ask them why she got killed off? Your collective minds might be put at rest then. (I'm not being facetious by the way, it's a genuine suggestion as this is obviously stressing several people out).

Probably when the bosses dreamed up the idea of killing off Kylie they were high on speed

They were probably also on speed when they decided Tina died cos apparently Michelle Keegan didn't wanna be killed off she wanted to come back

It's a shame they decided to wait until Kylie was a corpse before giving her a classy makeover. The character's style seemed to have been evolving from chav to classy lady over the years , especially when she used to work in the bistro. However, in the last year or so Kylie's style reverted back to full on chav complete with that harsh black eyeliner

People in 'normal' jobs can't leave them then come back to them at a later date and I don't see why soap actors/actresses should be able to either as that's what acting is - a job. No actor/actress is bigger than whatever soap they are in - be it Eastenders, Emmerdale Corrie or whatever.

She has lovely bone structure

Most people dress and buy make up according to their earnings. She probably made minimum wage at best when she was working. All the characters on the street look as if they live according to their means. The exception to this seems to be that pair of gannets Fizz and Tyrone. They should be livin' large with the money coming into that hovel. The kids should be wearing Calvin instead of clothing made of old Christmas decorations that Fiz turns out on her machine.

A lot of people (most? all?) get 12 months maternity leave.

Of course they don't get paid full wages for that time.

I wasn't talking about maternity leave (there's a lot of that where I work), I was talking in general terms. I've seen loads of people on different threads over the years saying that so and so shouldn't have been killed off when they left - the door should have been left open for them in case they wanted to return.

As regards Paula Lane, presumably she told them she didn't want to come back after her maternity leave, hence she was killed off. None of us know what happened and none of us know the terms of her contract.

I've often read that people look a lot better when they're dead - the worry lines disappear from their faces, and they're more relaxed.

Death takes years off you.

I don't know about that but I know It knocks the smile off your face.

Quite hypocritical of the producers if that's the reason.

If Kylie really had to be seen to be punished and killed off then why is it that Tracy 'Triple Murderer' Barlow is still allowed to boringly swagger around freely with three deaths to her name? Her crimes were far worse than Kylie's and were premeditated yet she remains completely unremorseful.

Yes I think she is pretty too. And I am gonna miss her. There are some very pretty girls in Corrie, many more than Emmerdale.. Most girls in there are a bit rough IMO.

And I also find it annoying that Tracey Barlow has got away with one thing after another!
