We're at war with these scumbags I'd cheer on any British soldier killing as many as he can, especially when attacked whilst out for a jog
Ok, but then don't you see that the friends of the person that soldier murdered would feel they had to get revenge. If its ok for a soldier to murder one of their guys, they'll see it as ok to murder a soldier to get revenge. And that depressing cycle continues

Soldiers are part of an organization that kills people. Whether or not we think those killings are justified, we cant deny that killing people makes you enemies. Its like a more brutal version of the off duty policeman being shouted at in the street by someone he locked up.

That's pretty silly. Obviously the soldier - Because their profession makes them a better choice of protector. If you think that should make them immune to criticism, or get "more perks" than the rest of society, you're wrong.

Situations like this are sadly inevitable. If you work for an organization that kills people (regardless of how justified those kills are) some people are going to want revenge. It's like a more brutal version of off-duty coppers sometimes getting verbal (or physical) abuse in the street from the bloke they locked up the other weekend. The nature of the job they do means there will sometimes be people out for revenge against them.

Except I wonder why we didn't have situations like Lee Rigby's murder, and this failed attack years ago? Let me think ...

There needs to be a nationwide search to find these two pieces of shit before they get to try again, as they surely will.

Surely someone must know who they are?

Many people will know who they are, and will only admonish them for not completing their murderous task.

We did. Don't you remember corporals David Howes and Derek Wood?

You mean like the squaddie shot dead at Lichfield railway station in 1990, but of course memories are short and things like that didn't happen in the good old days.

According to the local plod
"The motivation for the attack remains unclear and whilst we are currently unable to discount terrorism, there are a number of other possible hypotheses."
I'd be fascinated to hear the other hypotheses.

Yes, maybe they were Italians from the local takeaway, and he hadn't paid for his pizza.

OK. How many people are going to believe this story as being true? Things are getting from the sublime to the ridicules now! Oh well, I suppose this could justify 32 billion pounds being spent to modernize a "deterrent" that will NEVER be used!

Thank you for your contribution Mr Corbyn.

Then if its a war, stop calling it murder when they kill our soldiers. Or call it murder every time a British soldier kills a terrorist. You just can't have it both ways.

They're called Airmen, not soldiers, in the RAF. Mainly because they are part of an air force. Might seem pedantic, but they dislike being called soldiers, just as a sailor would or a soldier being called an airman or sailor.

Well in every report I've seen it says airman. My son says the person was called an airman in their briefing. So I'm going for airman and not soldier.

"Mayham" - is that meant to be a combo of "mayhem" and "Marham"?

I will call it murder when these cowards jump unarmed service men not on duty and kill them.
You seem to have a problem with the British military, why is that?

Thank you for your rather silly comment. I'd be flattered if it wasn't the fact that "our Jeremy" is part of the whole political elite! So your comment is rather pointless.

I remember commenting to someone on Facebook who was getting a little starry eyed regarding Bernie Sanders and his race for the presidency. I commented that Bernie Sanders would eventually sell himself out, I was shot down for it.

Fast forward to present day and I believe my prediction came true. Bernie Sanders is now backing one of the worst criminals to fight for office. Hillary Clinton!

Is that necessarily true?

If you or I had decided to pull off something like this, and roped in a mate to help us... apart from that mate, who would know?

Police seeking two men of middle eastern appearance, one of whom had a beard. Potentially a Zoroastrian?

I don't think its over the top for them to be armed or have a guard.

Alternatively they could carry a knife.

Yes it is over the top. How can you have a guard for for every one of them. So we different laws for different people, people are not allowed to be armed with guns or knives

Not true. Concealed carry is legal in NI, on the mainland, you can apply for a CC permit if your job or lifestyle means you may be at such risk you need to carry a firearm.

Just watched coverage of this on ITV news. Chief constable made a statement but both he and the reporter covering it pointedly never described the men.
They obviously don't need the publics help in finding them.😅
