I just watched it again and nothing like that happened. The strap didn't do anything.

She even said 3 or 4 times that the sponge hit her throat, she never said anything about the strap on her helmet. Plus, the strap wasn't that tight, not enough to cut off her breathing.

I don't see why people are making excuses for her, she quite clearly faked it, it couldn't have been much clearer. I just thought it was funny, i'm glad she faked it

Faked, you can see her feet touch the bottom of the pool and she then pushes herself onto her back and starts waving her arms around.

It would be if you wanted people to believe if you were hit with a small wet sponge on a helmet covering your head, you would be forced to emit a high pitched Yelp, jump into a pool, pretend you were knocked out whilst simultaneously keeping yourself afloat, and then recover as if your life had been endangered

For some life is scary

You think playing an xbox game gives you medicinal knowledge?

You're right it is. How people can think that an unconscious person can hold their head backwards out of the water and paddle their arms to stay afloat is very weird.

I do have sympathy for her not really wanting to do the task and not liking being hit by the sponge, but the rest... nah.

The impact of the sponge against her head was enough to jolt her helmet to one side, which would then have caused the strap to press against her windpipe.

Yeah but she was supposedly knocked out, yet you could see her paddling to keep herself afloat.

She was faking it!

Well, I've seen this sort of thing happen, so I am just saying its possible.

I mean, are you aware you can actually get a concussion from being hit in the chest, so it is perfectly possible.

Never a truer post. She couldn't breathe and fell into the pool. She did the right thing, she went limp (relaxed) and did not panic. It clearly scared her and I know it would me. Not sure how I would react if I suddenly couldn't breathe let alone and fall into a pool.

Not a chance any of that was fake on anyone's part.

Yep she did fake it. I don't know why, but it was fake.

You don't need to have medicinal knowledge to see Jayne was faking it.

I have no idea if she was faking it or not. I'd prefer to leave it up to the paramedics to say.

Do you think playing an xbox game gives you medicinal knowledge btw?

I think it all got out of control, Jayne was just a wuss and hoping for a bit of sympathy - but all the shouting and hollering of 'MEDIC' made her feel obliged to play along with the drama.

To be fair - she never said she was knocked out. I think she was definitely winded and I think that induced a bit of a panic attack. She seemed quite nervous and weak before she went out on the board at all. Sometimes our bodies react in strange ways. I don't think she was faking it at all; for whatever reason she couldn't catch her breath and that's a very scary thing.

Yes i am aware of that, but none of that happened here. Watch it back. She get's hit in the head with sponge, screams, fall's into the poll, land's on her feet and then floats like she has been knocked out. At what point was it that she was supposed to have been knocked out exactly ? She's moving her hands around to keep herself balanced. There was no way at all that she was knocked out there.

If she couldn't breath, she would have reacted straight away. Nobody would just float there with their eyes closed, that is not the natural reaction to someone having the breathing cut off.

What you are saying is that within 2 seconds she realised she couldn't breath so just tried to stay calm by playing dead. I'm sorry but this is really reaching.
