If it was a panic attack or similar she would have been discharged fairly quickly once she calmed down. What they would want to know is whether she inhaled any water. That's the serious issue here. (And you certainly don't inhale water while pretending to not drown. ) She did cough a bit when she was 'rescued', but I don't believe for a moment that she lost consciousness, so that too was a charade. However, since she was gone for 5 hours, presumably under observation in case of secondary drowning, then the medics must have had to assume she wasn't faking it.

Its possible to blackout and lose consciousness for a split second and still be moving about. You only have to be out for a milisecond. Its like turning the power off and on quickly on a spinning fan, the fan keeps turning in spite of the power interruption.

In terms of doing it to a brain its like cutting power to your computer, slight power interruption and it reboots fully.

You also dont always just turn off the lights when you blackout. It can be a good few seconds after the impact, like a delayed reaction. You get a kind of tunnel vision and nod out. Its a horrible sensation. When you come out of it, even if its only for a milisecond, you feel drunk, weak and shaky.

She might have faked it, but its very reasonable to believe she didnt.

We know she never said she was knocked out, but when someone is lying on their back in the water with their eyes closed you can clearly tell that this is what she wanted people to believe. There is no way she was winded either, there was no way she could have been. Even when she fell into the poll it happened at a slow speed.

I agree that she was nervous before though, but that is why i think she faked it. I don't think she wanted to do the task so this was her way of getting out of it.

At what point was it that she was supposed to have been knocked out exactly ? She's moving her hands around to keep herself balanced. There was no way at all that she was knocked out there.

If she couldn't breath, she would have reacted straight away. Nobody would just float there with their eyes closed, that is not the natural reaction to someone having the breathing cut off.

What you are saying is that within 2 seconds she realised she couldn't breath so just tried to stay calm by playing dead. I'm sorry but this is really reaching.”

Precisely. And then didn't clearly inform the medical professionals that she definitely had not inhaled water at any point. Shameful behaviour.

You don't hold your head back while unconscious.

Wow, there are actually people who believe she didn't fake that? I weep for the future.

She could have fainted in panic when she got hit.

Also she wouldnt be discharged quick, there are usually big queues in hospitals so you could wait 2/3 hours, especially as you are not in any serious condition while others pass bye you in the queue.

It happened to me before and I was in the hospital for about 3 hours as there was about 10 people before me to get checked and then others skipped past me because they must have been more serious. They then done tests and put me in a room thing behind a curtain to wait for about 30 minutes then came in asking if I was fine and said I could go. Takes quite a long time. That doesnt include the journey to and from the hospital either.

What are you talking about? You cant even float.Floating is a conscious action of the brain. She should have gone straight under water not act like swimming

Ignoring the scream, do you think she was floating face up, head back by sheer luck, while unconscious?

Good job nobody shouting fake was not on medical alert..even if 10% she wasn't acting.

It's all a bit weird but you got to take precautions and presume she isn't.

People are acting like she's stabbed someone in the eye or something.

I can't believe that on BOTS they were talking about the sponge hitting her throat..........it never touched her throat, it clearly hit her on the helmet.

Who is? And what makes you think that?

Could it just be that people think she faked it

Eh ? from what i have seen, most people found the whole thing funny. The only people overreacting are the people who think she wasn't faking.

exactly....medical procedures are being quoted...and pages from the Lancet recited....all in the name of a clammy sponge being hurled by a pipe-cleaner from all of 4ft
