Looking forward to seeing what they do with tonight's episode.

They going to have Mr Garrison as President for the next few years now
I was thinking exactly the same thing, only (checks watch) 3hr 12min later.

Mr Hat for Secretary of State.

Unbleeped f word at the start of the tv edit of the latest one, maybe no one cares in Trump's brave new world.

I maybe alone in this but I roared with laughter at 20.7 and I think South Park is the best show currently on tv.

Just found this out regarding tonight's episode

These are not my words. I copied and pasted them.

Good thing producers of South Park are used to changing on the fly, what with tonight’s episode supposed to be hyper timely, and address previous night’s presidential election. Except, being media members, they wrote it with the Hillary Clinton-esque character vanquishing the Donald Trump stand-in to become our 45th President Elect because, duh.

Originally titled The Very First Gentlemen, the episode now is called Oh Jeez. And, she doesn’t.

On the bright side, looks as though America is going to be great again, and women can be anything – except POTUS, of course.

You are not alone. The jokes on most shows are predictable enough that they aren't funny but i wasn't expecting what happened.

Nobody notice the unbleeped "Mr kHunt" either then ?

Gerald thinking he was going to be James Bond was hilarious, but the stuff with Clinton and Cosby's 'Gentleman's Club' was better.

The latest episode was "ok". The scene with Garrison in the pod from Empire Strikes Back was brilliant though

I do wonder if they've re-written anything after Trump's win though as the series does seem to have gone off the boil a bit.

They have done rewrites. I read this last week. They were so certain that Hilary was going to win, they already had certain things written and planned for future episodes. Last weeks episode was rewritten several hours prior to transmission.

Definitely ending with a bit of a whimper, considering how good it was at the start of the season.

Still good though, don't get me wrong, but I just feel that it's gone off the boil a bit.

Spoiler

I wonder if they will ever go back to the original plan of single episodes or if there is multiple season arc thing will continue for every season, I quite like this years storyline but prefer the earlier seasons. Maybe they could go back to single episodes with occasional two or three part episodes

For me the on-going story helps carry it when the jokes are weak.

I quite like the on-going arc as well. i think it still gives them scope to do individual episodes within that arc, but it keeps it fresh.

I grew bored of it and in the end, i have stopped watching this season. It became a chore. And watching a show like South Park shouldn't feel like a chore.

Well you didn't miss much - the season finale was pretty dire.

I do honestly believe that when Trump won the election that they had to throw all their plans out of the window and basically re-write most of the second half of the season.

I think the fact that the member berries plot was basically abandoned kind of proves that.

I do wonder if the episode title - "The End of Serialization as We Know It" - is their way of saying they're going back to standalone episodes next year though ?

Agree with all of that - the finale was awful.
