Will I think my LGG4 has bricked now its just doing this

https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...c0&oe=582EB878

pressing power and down don't do anything to.
Is this the heat that has done it in?
Was going fine yesterday so not sure why it will just brake all I done was go to charge it.
I do not have a receipt as was bought on gumtree but the phone was going fine.
is there still anyway LG will fix this?

This is the infamous boot loop issue and is a hardware fault. You could try and contact customer services and see if they will replace it.

That's not very good.

When had a problem with my Galaxy S5 the Samsung store in Wembley repaired it within a couple of hours and I would have expected LG would be able to do the same?

It was just under 2 years old and did not have to provide a receipt (they went by the serial number).

A bank statement or something surely will be good enough if you're taking it back to the retailer. The warranty is 2 years so as long as you can get the retailer to confirm proof of purchase that should satisfy LG.

When i sent my G4 back to LG i didnt need proof of purchase, just told them a date when i bought it. If you push them enough they will fix it. At most the phone is 13 months old and it is a very common problem so they have to sort it. Just got to get through to the right person on the phone that will book it through the system without much fuss.

Agree with above. Just try again.

I had to give a date but wasn't sure about the retailer and it went through fine. This was only 3 weeks ago.

OK not sure what happened but good news
I took battery out plugged in my charger then put battery back in and the red light came on and started charging.
Now its powered up and come on.
So maybe I have a battery problem or was a loose connection but lucky its back on now.
I wonder if my battery or phone could have over heated in this hot weather the last few days?
and have been using the camera quite a bit.
Funny though because the power down button would not wipe the phone.

In all likelihood it will happen again. At one point mine came back on for for a good few hours before going back into the boot loop.

Just take this chance to back it up just in case.

I am going to take this to a phone shop see if they can test this though it says 100% when i put the battery in after the charger has been connected.
the device has not come back on since the other night.

It is said to be easy to open so you could maybe volt meter test the battery when on current draw.

Depends if their is a feature on the S6 that you want. In terms of hardware spec not much between the G4 and S6, speed, battery life, camera all about the same.
