Probably my new favourite show. The word that comes to mind is pathos. Reminds me of The Trip with Steve Coogan's character with the undercurrent of sadness that a poster referred to above.

Love her on/off boyfriend but I also loved him in W1 too. The scene with the surprise ninja really ticked me. Their relationship is like a typical gender reversal.

I like it a lot.

Can't decide whether she is sexy or not though.
The boyfriend is a freak though. He needs kicking into touch.

I might try that ninja prank on my husband. That was hilarious.

Watched first 2 episodes. Didn't find it that funny, very dark. Reminds me of the Dot in Universe books, in that the main character seems to be possibly mentally ill.

Loved that. His reaction to it just got funnier and funnier

I couldn't work out where I'd seen that wet boyfriend before but now realise he was the equally wet office junior in W1A.

The main character in brilliantly unhinged.

This is very very good.

She's got the look and comments to the camera spot on!!

Love this show so much. Just watched the latest episode and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I almost didn't watch it as I didn't like Crashing which Phoebe wrote and starred in, but I liked Fleabag. It's funny, dark and very believable.

Watched ep 3 today.

She reminds me a little bit of Anna from This Life.

I have to say, I absolutely love her.

I'd like to take Boo's place as her new best friend, please.

So good, I'm going to go back and watch it again.

In fact, I know I'll watch all of Fleabag again. This is unusual for me, so they're on to something.

Anyway, wait for it - the g word is coming out - Fleabag is genius. There I said it.

Absolutely Ms Lafleur,

Not often you can use the g word but wow. The quality of writing, the characters are all so well rounded. Love the date with the teeth, he is just fantastic as is her brother in law.

Can't get enough of this show!

Loving this - think it's so well thought-out and straddles that line between despair and hilarity really well.

I don’t get why, after getting jiggy with it, that guy ('Bus Rodent') said at the end:
“f***sake, you don’t go through life with teeth like these and not know when someone is pretending”.
She invited him to a party, she was nice to him, she then shagged him, smiled and said it was great - what was she suppose to say? “God, not only are you ugly, but you’re a terrible shagging too!”
What an ungrateful a-hole!!
If women where that honest, I'd never leave the house!

This has had me going "ewww" whilst also laughing and remembering what it was like when I was a single woman. Some of it is uncannily true (observations on people/life), other bits quite poignant and sad. Feel like I've met some of the characters portrayed in real life!

so sad, so funny, so brilliant.
the writing, the acting, the production, love it.

so many great scenes. Boo is such a powerful piece of the story. I don't know why but when Fleabag remembered their conversation about changing your body, it was funny and cute, yet it made me want to cry!
I'm normally much cooler in real life...

I liked this from the start, but eps 4 & 5 took it to a new level--the last episode was virtually Chekhovian. Brilliant acting from the whole ensemble, and clever, clever writing! Best thing on telly.

My favourite bit was when she offers the sexual harassment guy (Hugh Dennis) a boob and he says, "No thanks, I'm trying to give up".

I wasn't so keen on episode 5. I feel like it's becoming less funny and more sad, which is probably the intention.

The episodes are definitely definitely changing, becoming less chaotic, shocking and fewer jokes... but I enjoyed this as much as the first episode. It worked because it builds on everything that happened before... but I always wonder 'how the hell do they write things like this?', the subjects are serious, the events are pretty tragic, it's really sad, this episode was even quite slow compared with the first... yet it's still reeeeally good!!

It's like scratching insect bites - it's gross, makes it worst, you shouldn't do it... but it feels sooo good!

This starts on BBC 2 this Sunday at 10.

I've not seen the latest episode, but I really enjoyed the first 4.

Don't necessarily expect to laugh your socks off, just enjoy something that's just a bit more original and demanding than the usual crap that we're spoon fed with.

The scene with Hugh Dennis at the end of Episode 4 was incredible. Brilliantly written and acted.

Hype: 'to promote or publicise intensively, often exaggerating its benefits.'

I wouldn't say there's been any hype, just some people really like it!

Started yesterday (Sunday) 10pm on BBC2.

I don't bother with BBC3 now it's gone online as any of the good stuff will eventually surface on BBC1 or BBC2.
