If I had one criticism to make, it's that he ever applied in the first place. He's too good, too nice, too gentlemanly, too normal. He takes no shit and I respect that.

I do hope he finds happiness after he leaves and I sincerely hope Charley leaves him alone to find true happiness elsewhere with someone more deserved of his affections. Also, he's not ashamed to admit he loves his little dog, the way he spoke (almost shyly) in the DR about how much the dog means to him almost made me well-up - that also spoke volumes about his character I thought. He seems like a genuinely nice guy.

I want him to win, but I do hope he's at least in the final 3.”

Thank you Cara-mae. I've been really heartened by the responses on this thread regarding Jason, so maybe we're not as outnumbered as we thought? Let's hope so! I'd LOVE Jason to win this.

I know, but I know you dislike him. Hope I didn't offend you, that wasn't my intention.

Same here Rhumbatugger, and as I said in another post, I suspect Jason would be happy with that too.

BIB. Forgot to highlight that bit. Agree in spades! Decent, kind, and a comforting presence - could not have put it better myself.

Can I add my admiration for Jason here too? I know it might seem old fashioned to some, but I love the way he takes control of situations calmly and without resorting to threats or shouting. His lack of confidence is very attractive, such as when he received his letter and asked himself 'who'd write to me?' No false modesty, just a self effacing gentleman. He can put me in the recovery position any time...

Yes, I doubt very much arrogance is a part of Jason's make up. Nice guy.

I don't understand about all this fake/keeping it real "thing" that crops up year after year.
How I see it (not all cases):
We haven't changed much genetically for tens of thousands of years.
So why not as much barbaric acts happen today? Because through experience /education we have learned it is better to ignore and suppress many of our animal instincts/feelings. To me, this is how we live in a more civilised age. Fake? Maybe, but i guess we are all fake to an extent.
Keeping it real? For many, is just an excuse to be rude, inconsiderate.
Has correlations with my first point.
As we learn how complicated life is and how many variables are involved. Many times it is better to keep our mouth shut, rather than throw a negative at something we cannot fully understand and justify this lack of self control as "keeping it real".

I agree and think he is so misunderstood and now knowing he is an only child just makes him more appealing

Thank you Vicky! Glad you agree.

Must admit, I did think twice about posting as I thought it might bring about some horrible responses, but have been pleasantly surprised. SO FAR! Thanks again.

What a great post! I completely agree with every single word.
Unfortunately he probably won't win. Genuinely nice people don't win BB anymore. I do hope he makes the final three at least and really hope he does not come out to boos.

'Keeping it real' and 'telling it like how it is' is an excuse for bad manners. Only people with personality problems, eg, low self-esteem, etc, seem to 'want to tell it like it is'. Very loudly. Most folk have sympathy/empathy/compassion for others, like Jason seems to have. So yes, I agree with a lot of what you say.

As for barbaric acts, they're happening all too frequently, and my heart aches for the victims. But that's for another part of the forum. Thank you for your post.

Lots of people saying they like Jason but don't think he'll win. Throw some votes his way, you never know.

Just because he's not topping the polls or the bookies favourite, doesn't mean he can't win. It's been proven before, the favourite / poll topper doesn't necessarily win.

Whose to say those voting in the polls are actually going to vote?!
