The only thing I don't like is the tendency for people - when there's a difference of opinion - to dismiss other view points with comments like 'xxx fans are getting desperate' or 'Xxx is the chosen one', assuming you're criticising a HM because you're a fanatic of another.

Defend your chosen HM, explain your take on things - that makes the forum interesting. I just wish people wouldn't write off a viewpoint like that without an explanation. I find it rude, dismissive, immature and a little bit boring.

I like hearing other views. Sometimes I can see people have a point. Sometimes I've been wrong about hm - often too damned forgiving, and have to concede they ARE actually awful.

But I find the irrational stuff a bit baffling, I have to say.

Frustrating and saddening too.

I am the same as you, love it how people see the same thing yet their observations, how they process the information and reason with themselves in order to draw up their own conclusions is amazing yet baffling at the same time.
Then once they label someone, they naturally stick it on them and the majority never change their minds lol
I then wonder is this how they go through life and wonder if this then affects their progress, relationships, connections etc.

I don't have a favourite this year and I am not backing anyone to win, but reading these boards is fun.

The thing I least like about the forum is how you appear to have to take a 'side'. And if you post in a certain way, it's assumed you're taking a side even though you aren't. This place can be very black and white. As Rebecca Bunch would say 'the situation is a lot more nuanced than that'.

I do find it fascinating how people see things differently. Of course, we view everything through the lens of like/dislike to a varying degree. When people become myopic, though, it's gets boring.
