It was a good episode but sadly spoiled months ago on social media so no surprise, just curiosity as so how it was done. You were never going to prevent people from finding out after the lack of reveal. I wish in hindsight they had killed one in the finale and then surprised viewers in the premiere with the second death.
I noticed creepy sidekick in this (possibly named Simon?) is also creepy rapey cowboy in WestWorld. :-/ |

LOL. Sounds entirely plausible to me.
Or maybe it'll be, 'Swinging that bat around all day must make you awfully thirsty Mr Negan. Would you care for a refreshing glass of home made lemonade? It's not poisoned or anything'. |

Did they film a death scene for all of them?
Must have been a tough shoot for the actors involved. Carol could take Negan though .. she's hardcore

Watched it again earlier and it was worse the second time despite knowing what was going to happen. Although I had guessed it would be Abraham and/or Glenn, there was still the element of surprise watching it the first time in not knowing for definite it was them. My heart was actually racing the second time as I knew what was coming.
In all the drama, I do hope Carl remembers that he locked Enid in that cupboard. |

I'd heard vague rumour's of two death's but didn't really believe it, I thought after Abraham that was it then suddenly Glen, I was watching from behind the corner of my cushion by this point it was so brutal I was worried for Rick's hand then Carl ... I don't know how some of you can watch it again I was still stressed after it ended. Looking forward to seeing what happen's next.

I had NO idea it was being shown live. I woke up this morning thinking "today's the day". Flicked on my planner and it was there. I may have screamed,
Very little affects me. Abraham's death left me gasping for air. Glenn's demise was awful. I almost couldn't take it all in as it was mixed with all the Rick stuff. The axe segment was probably the worst few minutes of TV I have ever witnessed, I could barely catch my breath. I felt it so much. I actually had a moment where I nearly turned it off. I just couldn't deal with it. I'm now about to watch it again. I think I missed so much due to my inability to look, breathe or take in what I was watching, |

Simultaneously one of the most horrifying and traumatic episodes of TV I've ever watched. Yet also one of the best. That is TWD in a nutshell.

Firstly, kudos to those who were able to watch it a second time. That was a bit much and horror doesn't generally bother me.
Second, and it's a bit mean but it's about time Rick experienced a little humility. He was starting to get far too big for his boots and acted like he was literally untouchable. Not saying that the scenes weren't horrible or that it was deserved. Negan is a psycho. I think some valuable lessons will be learned and perhaps Rick will think twice the next time he considers killing a group. It's probably been mentioned before but where are they going with the show? I like it but it has become so formulaic. Meet the big baddie, then the resulting killing of that baddie....I don't read the comics so it's difficult to see the direction of the show. Not sure what the answer is really. |

I've not been on this forum for a good good while! Still traumatised from watching this this morning. I don't think I can watch it again but hubby hasn't seen it and I need to hold his hand. Absolutely brutal episode. I thought it would be one particular person but never guessed that the 2nd would be my fave and I've read the comics. Was worried about where the axe would land for the longest time. And then Carl's hand......! Gah so many feels! Every time I close my eyes all I see is gore. And what's going to happen to Darryl? Honestly! Where it's gonna go from here - all I want is for it to fast forward to happy times! The tension is unbearable. Let's just think of them all around the dinner table on a lovely summer's day! *staying in my happy place, not rocking and dribbling in a corner*

I thought it would be Abraham which to be honest I won't miss too much, I am gutted about Glenn though, even I'm kinda at annoyed at Daryl for doing what he did
Also I've only just watched it and even I felt a bit sick after which I don't usually TWD is the only show that makes me feel so tense.![]() ![]() ![]() I would much rather it had been Glenn & Maggie, I think both their times had come. Detest Negan with a passion, what a first class prick he is! Typical playground bully. Can't wait to see him get his comeuppance, which I know he will. Just hope we haven't got to put up with him for too long. |

It was shown at this time for the whole of the last series, so we see it at the same time, just about, as USA.

Watched it again to make sense of what I had seen as I just couldn't process it all.
The was the most intense hour of TV I have seen. Watching it without the shock factor was much better . It really was an amazing episode. |

Well, I cried but not till the end when they showed them all at the table with Glenn with his child on his lap, hammering home what will never now be.
A really brutal episode and Negan make the Governor look like a pussycat. Of those left Carl seemed to be the only one that didn't break. How my husband managed to casually eat his dinner throughout the main event I don't know. |

Just watched it by fast forwarding the nasty bits. I noticed in a picture that Michonne was next to Abe. Bits of him would have landed on her and of all the group she looked like it hadn't affected her at all. I am sure she showed emotion when Andrea was in peril.
I watched the talking dead first and it helped to see the entire cast together. Stephen said he asked the writers not to give that death to anyone else as it was so iconic in the comics. It was also fun when Norman said he thought everyone would hate him but 76% in a poll didn't blame him. That character can do no wrong. I still say that you can do things in a comic format that is difficult on film. I read a post where a man said his family used to watch and discuss morality and humanity in that situation. He says they won't watch anymore because it crossed a line. Some people have copies of Lucille and Negan tees hits and revel in the gore. There is too much horror in the real world to actually enjoy watching people get their heads bashed in even if it isn't 'real'. |

If you've ever frequented a 'news' site like liveleak then you'll have likely seen real life horrors - something I now actively avoid for my own sanity's sake! - and it was quite uncomfortable viewing, I guess they had to step things up since another governor type character, or some unfeasibly organised cannibals, are old hat by now. Negan is something else, and he's even scarier I think because there is method to his madness, sadly I think he's blown his dramatic load.
I'm worried that after this episode the rest of the season is going to be, somehow, dull as dishwater. |

Just watched the episode again......it's horrendous.
I've also watched a couple of reaction videos on youtube and other people's reactions make it worse for me......it's very much like a community has lost family members . I don't think I've been that emotional watching an episode. Getting ready to watch it again tonight |

I think it had to be so brutal so us 'non comic readers' really understood how dangerous this Negan character is.
Gotta say me and the granddaughter were in tears, i don't read spoilers as i like the surprise. Was one of the most gripping episodes of any show i have seen, but at the end i just felt hopelessness for our gang, then they showed a trailer for next week and it cheered me up a bit. |

I got up at 7am to download the t******. And watched the episode minutes later.
The media aren't very good at NOT telling us who died. I feel sorry for those whose enjoyment of the show is spoiled by the leaking of the death. And who it was...? I couldn't imagine waiting to see the episode on UK TV and avoiding like the plague all social media, newspapers etc, till the screening. |
