Sorry, you're wrong. Last series every episode was on at 2 a.m. Monday and shown again at 9 p.m. Monday. I know, I was up every week watching & getting up for work at 6.30 a.m.
Thanks for confirming Dilly Daydream, I was beginning to think I was hallucinating!

It was extremely brutal and nerve-wracking but it was a spectacular episode! I am traumatised by the latest events and Negan is not a man to be messed with. Poor Glenn and his death scenes were horrific and it was gruesome to watch Negan callously enjoying beating Glenn to death. I can't forget Abraham too (I'm not fond of him) but he 'took it like a champ' (in Negan's own words). I knew it was going to be upsetting for many, because of the anticipated demise of a beloved character (according to producers) and it was the subject of many theories and much speculation leading up to the premiere. I am not disappointed by tonight's episode and it is 9/10 for me but I didn't expect two characters to be killed off.

I'm the other way, I had seen a spoiler that it was Glenn & Abraham and I am absolutely inconsolable that Abraham is gone.

I would much rather it had been Glenn & Maggie, I think both their times had come.

Detest Negan with a passion, what a first class prick he is! Typical playground bully. Can't wait to see him get his comeuppance, which I know he will. Just hope we haven't got to put up with him for too long.
I have a feeling he will be around for the whole season, or he might even continue into season 8!

I'd heard rumours that more than one character died but I did think for a while that Glenn was going to survive and the second death would be someone else.

It wasn't till a few moments before it happened that I thought "Nope, He's a goner".

Interesting that they did film alternative character deaths, quite often when you hear this sort of thing it isn't actually true.

Well the producers did say that one of the things to come out of this is that everyone has an expiration date and I think that is a good way to go with the show, absolutely I think a lot of the main cast will be killed and obviously the world can now truly open up and we can see many different places and groups and see how they all operate. It's not just Rick's group vs a baddie.

Are you talking about Fear the Walking Dead which was simulcast at 2am on Monday and on again at 9pm when that was aired? Can't find anywhere saying The Walking DeIad was simulcast.
No. I don't watch Fear the Walking Dead, never seen it. Trust me, TWD series 6 was shown at 2 a.m. every Monday morning, in line with it being broadcast in the US. And then shown at 9 p.m. On Fox (UK), where it always is.

Glenn would've survived if it hadn't been for Daryl.

I know is a horror series and such and I generally think its great, but it just overstepped the gratuitous gruesome factor (the episode with Glenn, in the revolving doors and seeing a death was similar) but the main difference this was spread out over 30mins, instead of seconds.... I will continue watching, but I think it may have just gone too far for quite a few people....

It was far worse than I imagined it would be, and would recommend just listening and not looking at the screen for some parts of it, and you wouldn't lose the dramatic tension.
stop, watching, then, it has always been brutal and this, episode, was, doomed to be exactly that

do no understand your point at all

you want a more PC version, of a show, that is about survival in an apocalpyse, over run by, the undead

Can you not climb onto the roof and fix the dish into place?

Huh, I'm fairly sure they cut Glenn's "Maggie, I'll find you" line out of the 9pm showing, wonder why.

Think we can say it out loud now

Goodbye Abraham and Glenn

Abraham I guessed and thought that would be it, but Daryl was a tad bit impulsive there and got Glenn wiped out which I didn't see coming

I know! I'm watching again with the other half, he hasn't seen it yet, and I thought they'd cut that line out! Why?

BTW, I'm not finding it so gruesome second time around

Just seen it for the second time on Fox after being up at 2:30am today.

Doesn't seem overly gruesome on rewatch for a show based on graphic novels. There's something a bit comic book in the way the camera shots are framed.

Once past the initial shock of what happened, it fits in with the overall tone of the series. I can understand people saying they wouldn't watch again as a knee jerk on first viewing but bravo to the show runners for doing this. They've often said no-one is safe and we all know humans are the biggest monsters.Had it been less memorable characters, then the series would've just plodded along again for most of the audience. This ups the stakes and the drama considerably.

Glenn says it to her after getting hit. Strange to cut it out, it's not like it makes it any less brutal.

You got their first with what I thought to

I wonder if they filmed the what if scenarios as the bat hits each character for a split second to try and throw fans off the scent.

It's simply impossible to keep anything secret in the modern era.

Well ISIS have made it tough for writers to come up with ever more extreme violence.

May be it was suddenly deemed an unnecessary line as he wasn't going to make it so they did a late cut?

Good point but there's no relation to those real world horrific actions to me.Freedom of choice but I've always decided not to watch footage of real life murders.
