Must have been a fair bit of time.....she pretty much recovered from multiple gun shot wounds.

i love a good psychoanalysis as much as the next guy, maybe you could get a job on big brother or something?
This is a world where bullets are scarce so firing one or 2 would be wasting them if other means are available, Lucille is his other means and is his trademark weapon.

Wasn't Eugenes idea to make bullets. He will be doubly intent after what happened. They were pointing guns at everybody and Negan used a high powered weapon to keep Rick safe. I would say he has access to a military compound. The arsenal's available at huge US bases has to be staggering. They didn't all just disappear.

Lucille is the kind of weapon a comic or graphic novel would come up with. What what I gather Negan would never use a gun in the comics so the writers are making the show closer to reality. Every character including those we saw in the new episode are weird and larger than life because you can do that in comics. Lucille is an instrument of terror just as the torture chambers were in the middle ages with the iron maiden etc. The taking of the photos. Far better to have Negan on your side. There is no doubt he was enjoying himself and he is a sadist.

I really wish they hurry up and kill off Carol.

Such an annoyingly boring character.

Because they have just started Negan's back story in comic book form I shall enclose it in spoiler form.

Spoiler
Negan was a high school gym teacher who wanted nothing more than the admiration of those around him. He was tough on his students despite inviting them to his garage for some ping pong practice and used a lot of the foul language we've come to know from him around the teenage boys. After embarrassing one of the young men a bit, his wife arrives at home and gently criticizes his actions before fainting.

Negan huddles over his wife and cries out for help. The couple is taken to a hospital where the doctor regretfully informs them Negan's wife has cancer.

Negan visits his mistress and tells her he is upset about his wife's cancer, she kicks him out and tells him not to come back. He leaves and goes to his wife's side, telling him he ended things with the mistress and wants to be with her. She isn't thrilled that it took her diagnosis to help him realize what he wanted.

Negan's wife's health diminishes until she is drained of energy in a hospital bed but still manages to crack soft jokes with her husband. Negan cares for his wife, breaking down only to be supported by her, and a genuine plea for her to live on.

A man rushes into the room and tries to pull Negan out, telling him they have to go and his wife is too sick to be saved but Negan insists he will stay behind with her.

The man flees the room in an effort to save himself and Negan looks out the window to see burning cars and chaos. The apocalypse has begun.

Negan says goodbye to his wife, Lucille.

Interesting to note that for Both Rick and himself the apocalypse begins in an Hospital.

I saw that on the trailer and it worries me that S7 may go over the top and lose its way.

This is all from the comics. Everything about comics is over the top because you can do anything. This is the problem I had with last week. I saw an interview with the director saying how he wanted to emulate the comic scene with Glenn. Digging a hole where the actor could put his head and all the gunk on top. Mr Nicotero is a special effects man and was so pleased with himself. People were waiting for the 'payoff' of having a character have their head bashed in.

Last night's episode was wonderful and uplifting. I just watched the Talking Dead in which they showed an interesting scene from next week.
Spoiler
Dwight is looking intently at a pen where walkers are impaled and chained/ He seems perturbed at the sight of one of them. I think he knew this person. I think Dwight may rebel. This will have consequences for Daryl.I think this man had the job of breaking Daryl and failed. As a result Negan or Daryl was allowed to kill him. If Daryl kills Dwight he may gain his spot. It would be interesting if Daryl became Negans right hand man.

I think less is more with the tiger. Just mention it once and a while and not see it. The CGI was not great.

I really enjoyed last night's episode. I think the light-heartedness much needed.

I always like a Carol episode though.

Was like an episode of Downton Abbey compared to last weeks

Much needed though and I enjoyed Ezekiel and Kingdom.

Loving the Tiger, please let it eat Negan

After the high tension episode last week I'm glad this one was more laid back.

Crikey, the tiger CGI was a bit off.

Not keen on the kingdom, we have seen it all before at least twice, we all know it will probably end in tears, well t will now that some of our group have visited, lol

Looking forward to next week, will Daryl be broken?

Enjoyed this episode, Melissa McBride was amazing in her meeting with Ezekiel.

The thing with Shiva - and I know we aren't here to talk about the comics - is that yes, it was CGI but it kind of worked (Much better than Grodd the Gorilla in The Flash!). I don't read the comics but I glance at google to see how things tie in. Because Shiva exists in the comics, they had to introduce a tiger into the TV show or comic fans would have been up in arms. So even if the CGI isn't to everyone's taste, I'm taking it for what it is.

Any betting the Kingdom going to be over-run by mid season or season finale

Loved this episode, especially the Kingdomers feeding the pigs Walker meat especially for Negin and his crew!

not read the comics so this isn't a spoiler, but I think the tiger has to be an active participant in the death of Negan. I also think that the young protege of the king will probably get 'offed' soon and that will trigger the eventual willingness of the kingdom to get involved in ending the rule of the saviors. Carol close but on the outside is a very good place to have her, and she really needs her space right now. Ezekiel may also be exactly what she needs right now, and she seems to be something he needs too - I am really looking forward to watching how things develop.
Loved the convo between Carol and Morgan - 'I think you might be my favorite person that I ever knocked out with my staff... one of my favorites... top 3 anyways' something along those lines. After the intensity of last weeks ep, it was just lovely to watch this one...

That's interesting and confusing, where will Rick and the rest be at when we get back to them I wonder.

After the extremely slow pace of the last series I feel a bit dizzy now.

Must have taken a couple of months for Carol to recover from a bullet wound.

I like the tiger, it was obviously CGI but I think the show's better when it goes full comic book camp instead of taking itself a bit too seriously.
