Liking Ezekiel and the Kingdom, he saw straight through Carol's I'm just a sweet old lady honest, act. As is the way whenever 'our' lot turn up somewhere that's been carrying on just fine and productive in the new world, it'll probably all go to hell soon.”

Rick hasn't arrived yet so they are safe for now.

It was a normal size tiger.

You could literally see Melissa McBride's personality change the second she opened her mouth when meeting him for the first time. I'm assuming she was told to play that scene that way (as opposed to simple bad acting) so that it would be plausible how Ezekiel saw through it so quickly, but at the same time, it was so un-subtle compared to how Carol played it in Alexandria, how could he not?”

Yes, I thought the same thing. She seemed to be almost mentally challenged in that scene.
However, I didn't think her act in Alexandria was so very subtle either. But this acting in The Kingsom was just stupid.

Maybe Mrs McBride (who I think is excellent) just isn't very good at this particular kind of acting. I guess every actor have things they are excellent in, and things they are not so good in.

I know, right? I have disliked him since the latter part of series five.
He lost his wife, but Carol, Morgan and Michonne also lost their children.

Btw, I gave up on Fear the walking dead in series two, episode one. Did it get better? Or will they meet up with our people in Atlanta? The last I saw of them, I think they were in Mexico, or the border.

It was the cast for me too. Didn't like any of them. I was indifferent to what happened to them, and that made the whole thing void of any suspense or entertainment for me.

The way Carol was in Alexandria was to me intentional, so that it was subtle enough to fool the Alexandrians, but obvious enough for the viewers to be aware of what she was actually up to.

As for the behaviour now, yes she went a little over the top with the act this time, but don't forget Carol's still recovering from her clashes with the Saviors and possibly has some lingering PTSD hence her hallucinations when Morgan and the Kingdom people are taking out the walkers. The mental exhaustion of all the horrors she's seen and experienced will take a toll, which is why she wanted to finally distance herself from Rick and the gang, because she'd finally had enough of all the killing and felt that somebody that doesn't want to kill no longer has a use to the group.

She woke up two days after going through hell and the first thing she's presented with is a bloke with a tiger pretending to be king of the castle, of course she's going to think am I the only one going crazy here? In Carol's mind they're another Alexandria, trying to play happy families and pretend the dangers outside aren't happening.

That was my take on it too, thought she acted it perfectly well for the situation she was in.

No, I can't say it really ever did get better. It had some moments, but, considering said moments featured the shows main characters (who just aren't likable at all) I'd say it was a moot point.

Spoiler below for Fear the Walking Dead Season 2 finale...

Spoiler
In the final episode they crossed the border into the US.

They didn't reach Mexico until episode 6 of the 2nd series, I though it got better from here (as they were off the boat finally), and plenty of zombie fights after this.

Also, in the final 2 episodes, Travis finally grows some balls and kills 2 people, who he believed killed his son.

Yes I thought the same maybe also the end where Ezekiel shows up on her new doorstep eating the apple added a good piece of comedy to the episode.

It was a Pomegranate - which could be symbolic

From Google - in a wedding custom widely practiced in ancient Armenia: a bride was given a pomegranate fruit, which she threw against a wall, breaking it into pieces.

When 'King' Ezekiel meets new people they will be presenting themselves as supplicants. They will be wanting food and shelter. They want to join. The interview is their chance to impress him. He expects them to be respectful. He expects them to be impressed by him and intimidated by the tiger (furthering his scrutiny of them). He expects them to play his game. Then he meets Carol.

Viewers already know she doesn't care if she lives or dies anymore. Are people ever more dangerous? She sees him and is openly bemused. By his 'title', his manner and his tiger. She doesn't care to hide it. She doesn't care what he thinks, or what he might do. He will not have encountered that in quite some time so, of course he sees it for what it is.

I expect he is thinking she could be of some use to him (against the saviours?). Since he knows she couldn't care less about his BS, he tells her his truth, hoping she can at least respect that. Anyway, he definitely thinks she is worth it, worth something, even if she doesn't.

Why not read the previous four pages, there are plenty of balanced posts for your answer.

Great points there! The whole go, but don't go exchange and Ezekiel paying her a visit at the end shows he sees some purpose for Carol.

I thought the feeding them pigs and walkers was them trying to slowly kill them with tainted meat like with Bob and the cannibals.

Seeing the world open up now is great but it would be nice to see it all in one episode rather than dedicated episodes. It also makes you wonder why Rick and his group never really travelled that far. IT makes you wonder how close these groups are, the Kingdom, the Hilltop, Alexandria, Negan's group. I understand maybe wanting to settle down in one place and making sure it is safe but it seems like when Rick's group goes somewhere, even Alexandria, they all seem to be doing quite well, they all seem to feed each other and look after each other, why couldn't Rick's group do that on their own? It would be interesting to find out how far apart they are, are they are half an hour apart, couple of hours? We always seen the runs they did, the food runs etc. How could they have done all that place to place and never came across any of these groups? I hope they explain that in the show.

What I don't understand is how has Negan amassed such a large group?

Wouldn't one of his group have disposed of him by now?

Let's not forget, when we first met Rick and co. they were based just outside Atlanta, Georgia, and now they appear to be close to Washington, DC - that's over 600 miles by road, so they've only been near Negan's group for the last season or so, which only seems to be a few weeks at most, their time?

They had come across Negan's group before - Sasha, Abraham and Darryl were shot at by them early last season when they were driving, and then of course they later ran into another party of them, who met a nasty end thanks to Darryl's rocket launcher. Besides Jesus (and Rick and Darryl certainly ran into him before they saw Hilltop), the Hilltop people don't seem particularly mobile, and the Kingdom people only seem to send certain people out (their 'knights' on horseback) – who Rick and Morgan, and later Carol, did indeed run into.
