What I don't understand is how has Negan amassed such a large group?
Wouldn't one of his group have disposed of him by now? |

I understand maybe wanting to settle down in one place and making sure it is safe but it seems like when Rick's group goes somewhere, even Alexandria, they all seem to be doing quite well, they all seem to feed each other and look after each other, why couldn't Rick's group do that on their own? I

Presumably he is a skilled enough leader to share out enough of the 50% of everyone's sh!t that he is taking in. That's why all the great mediaeval Kings and mafia bosses were successful, taking lots of stuff from their enemies, but always giving enough back to their friends to keep them loyal.

Both times it went completely Pete Tong 1) After a while the bad guys work out where you are, come for your stuff and you never have enough people to defend yourselves 24/7 2) This is spelled out a bit more in the books than it is in the comics or TV show, but the idea is that since walkers will stick together once they encounter each other, so they naturally form groups, which over time clump together into hoards. Because all walkers are attracted towards noise and various forms of human activity, over time these ever-swelling hoards, like rats and roaches, will gather around in hidden nooks and crannies near where you are staying, eventually your own group of 20 or so will eventually face an attack in overwhelming numbers. So this is what the whole show is about, really. The challenge is that only small communities can trust each other enough to risk their lives against human enemies, but large communities are needed to reclaim the world from walkers. |

Remember Negan has a strategy of killing one of a new group straight away. If the person killed in your group was a close relative or friend you would hold a grudge and want revenge on him as we are seeing with Maggie now.
Thats an awful lot of people in Negans group who would like to see him dead so I am not sure how stable his group actually is. |

It would be interesting to find out how far apart they are, are they are half an hour apart, couple of hours? We always seen the runs they did, the food runs etc. How could they have done all that place to place and never came across any of these groups? I hope they explain that in the show.

Now that Daryl is held hostage with Negan's group at their camp anyone see him trying to kill Dwight again for killing Denise turns into a big fight. Daryl gets his bowl about to kill Dwight, Negans men go guns at Daryl and Negan comes in says something like that bowl looks better with you Daryl must of been yours and asks nicely whats his beef with Dwight. Daryl shutting out his reason why he wants Dwight dead and still won't put the bowl down. Negan makes Daryl a offer a fight match if he beats Dwight it's his choice to to do with Dwight, offers Daryl his bowl back in return he joins them and if he says no Negan will cut of Daryl's hand. If Dwight wins Daryl will still lose one of his hands.

I don't think I've read anything that addresses this weird thing that Dwight has towards Daryl though I'm hoping it becomes more apparent in the next episode. It's like he wants to be him but would also happily kill him in the process. It's actually rather irritating to watch.

Yeah I was thinking this last season too. I actually thought I'd missed an episode or something, because if I recall correctly Daryl saved their lives and only ever tried to help them, then Dwight nicked his bike and crossbow and suddenly turns up again and he's trying to kill Daryl every chance he gets and seems to absolutely hate him, it's bizarre.
I wondered the same thing last season too, also the shot in the shoulder wasn't at all necessary if he knew what was in store for Daryl and the group. He's sneaky but obviously lacks intelligence so I've a feeling that he's going to be around a long time getting others killed because of his actions. I guess he's going to take over from Eugene as the pain in the bum character. |

Dwight is annoying. I watched some parts of talking dead a week ago, where the actor was. And he looks exactly the same as in the show. Minus the scar. Same greasy, thin hair, same greyish skin. |

Good point. Given he appears to rule by fear, it's a given that his position would be precarious with numerous Negan wannabes waiting in the shadows to take his place. History is littered with cases of people in power being murdered by ambitious underlings.

It is interesting because Daryl is not in the comics. He and Dwight have been interlinked as characters. The way the writers have decided to proceed is to split Dwight from the comics into Daryl and Dwight. Hence this feeling that people have that Dwight wants to be Daryl. He now has his bike, crossbow and clothes. I liked how Daryl defied Negan and his speech to Dwight at the end. He won't kneel to Negan because he is thinking of Glenn. He needs to get revenge for causing his death although he was expecting Negan to kill him. I remember what President Snow said in Catching fire. Fear doesn't work and people need hope. All tyrants eventually fall because there comes a point where they go too far . This was Gordon's point and you could see Dwight taking his words on board. Daryl's resilience and the Alexandrians will increase that feeling that he needs to break away. I think his character has a long way to go and he will team up with Daryl. |

They did a good job of choosing the song to torture Daryl with.
After a day of that, I would have snatched Negans bat and bashed my own head in. |

Think we had all worked out at the time what was happening with Dwight, the two women and the insulin, good to see it confirmed.
