Yep Daryl blinked the exact coordinates for Negan's home base and a route past the Fence Zombies so Rick can lead a surprise assault and finish Negan once and for all.


Unfortunately Daryls long greasy hair obscured half the message and Rick just got gobbledygook.

Negan probably needs to start developing his own range of hair products.

According to a poster on Reddit, he was saying " I East ".....giving Rick a clue as to the location of the Saviors base. I don't know if that's correct, that's what was reported on Facebook by someone.

And that, coupled with "make me a bullet" could make things interesting.

It certainly could! I've never read the comics (I think I was about 10 the last time I read a comic) but I was trying to imagine ways that they could defeat/overthrow the Saviors and guns are going to be a real problem. They don't have any and even if they restock, where do they hide them without putting themselves at risk, even if they found plenty?

Even armed, they don't have the numbers Rick kept saying. The only scenario I could come up with is finding a massive walker herd, like the one that was at the quarry, and direct it at Negan's base, and then somehow cause a breach in their walls, to allow the herd in. That's not very original though but I couldn't think of anything else. It's probably just bugging me because I'm already impatient for Negan's downfall lol.

What do you invisage happening after Negans downfall, as it inevitably will happen? Just curious - so many posters are already eager to see the back of Negan but then what?

I judge a man by his actions, not his words. What you see as "proof of fiercely love", are only words.

And any normal human being would of course take care of his son's (or any others for that sake) orphaned baby sister given the circumstanses.

That being said, these people do not exist, and I understand that the character "Rick" can not be seen doing all the things a normal parent does.

Well, I think that whole thing is that it is all a bit of a bluff, as I hope we will find out. He is using these psychological techniques to break people down - Dwight, Mrs Dwight with the legs, Daryl, Rick. They have definitely worked on the Hilltop crowd, but they are not going work with our mob.

Of course the tainted pork chops could have some bearing on their future survival.

But it has worked. Maybe Daryl's still holding out in his mind and is not completely cowed and broken yet, but Rick certainly is. As he said (or at least, my interpretation of what he said) he's not willing to get into a war he knows he can't win (at this stage). He's not in charge, Negan is, and whatever Negan says, goes, as far as Rick's concerned. Michonne had a weapon that Negan didn't know about, but Rick handed it over because he was terrified of what would happen if Negan later discovered it, and Rick knew there was a very good chance of that. Negan's act may all be a front to maintain control, but we know he's not bluffing. He's a very dangerous and violent man who will use, condones and encourages extreme violence in an instant to maintain his power.

Obviously we know that something will happen sooner or later and that Rick will win out, but right here and now, Rick's about as broken as it's probably possible for him to get.

I'm not so sure about that. I saw the signposted hand clench and release on Lucille that he was still weighing up twatting Negan, but that as things stand its futile - until somehow he can change the odds in his favour.

Really? I thought it was fairly obvious what we were looking at, especially when the camera angle changed and you could quite plainly see the mattress springs

Oh, I don't mean he's like Reek in GoT and has forgotten who he is or anything like that, simply that he recognises and accepts the utter futility of his situation and knows he has no choice but to go along with it until, as you say, he can see a way to change the odds. Negan's not trying to break Rick mentally or physically. He just needs him at the point where he'll do anything Negan says, and it looks like he's pretty much there. For a cop and natural leader, that's got to be hard to accept.

You could even look at it another way and say that far from being broken, Rick's displaying great mental strength by not twatting him when he had the opportunity, because he knew the retribution would be dire. That was Negan testing him, and Rick passed, so you could say Rick's stronger than ever. Trouble is, the end result is still the same.

Something different to fighting some psycho nut job every season I guess. I find it hard to believe some of the armed forces weren't in a far better position to survive the outbreak than random members of the public. The Governor standing unprotected in front of armed and trained National guard in military vehicles and taking them all out unscathed was so unrealistic. After he fired his first shot he would have been taken down by another soldier immediately. It's seven series in so I guess I'd rather the story took a different turn in that sense, or it gets a bit repetitive and stale. I'm no drama writer though so perhaps not.

I liked how Rick spoke to Spencer just how Negan spoke to Rick. "Say yes".
