Yeah, I couldn't figure it out at first. "What's that? A crashed spaceship?" I thought

Then from the reverse angle it was clearly the mattresses.

I don't get why they burned them there though. Surely it would have been more demoralising to burn them outside the gate for all to see rather than the middle of nowhere where there's little chance they would be found.

It was probably near enough to Alexandria for the smoke to be eventually spotted, Michonne just happened to be closer.

loved it when father Gabriel appeared and Negan told him he was 'creepy as shit'. Despite the horror of him, in a wierd way Negan offers some comic relief in between his bouts of psycho behaviour!

Shame to see the 2 deaths, both great characters who will be missed i think but i can see why it had to be a main character rather than someone we didn't really care about.

JDM was fantastic as Negan, definitely got the charisma to keep a group together, i can see how he has managed to keep in charge.”

I don't think the character has any charisma at all. The majority submit to his rules through total & utter fear, with a minority of minor sadists along to enjoy the ride. That is not charisma.

I doubt in reality anyone like Negan could actually keep a large group together for any length of time. Someone would eventually step up and kill him. What would happen next would depend on who replaced him - one of his sadistic minions or not.

I noticed that too and wondered if it'd be made a point of later, e.g. Spencer saying to someone else "What's the difference between Rick and Negan? Lets just leave and get away from both....blah, blah,blah...." Or something along those lines.

Last episode was poor and Boring
They are ruining neagan by making him repeat the same thing over and over Very bad script writing last week for the most part .
He is played great but becomes irritating. Say less is how you create tension and fear .

The preacher bit was funny though and the do you know you got a fattie in charge of food stock

Yes, I think he was blinking 'Thanks Rick, that hairdresser you recommended for me is crap, look what he did to Carl's hair - and mine's no better '

I was mortified when they snagged the rocket launcher.

As I don't read the comics I'd be interested to know how alike the comic book Negan, and tv show Negan are?

I found the wolves much scarier than the saviors. Negan is just a common thug with a baseball bat, whereas the wolves were a fanatical death cult who could not be placated or reasoned with.

I assumed they were part of a larger group and would return, or were the ones Morgan let go the only survivors?

She does seem to be getting more rations than the rest, bit of a plot hole Negan brought up. Eugene's doing well too.

LOL, that occured to me too. The first time Negan asked Daryl a question (I think it was whether he wanted to stay at Alexandria), I assumed it was just a test of 'loyalty', but later, when Negan said something like 'You can have your bike back, you only have to ask', I did wonder if Negan knew full well Daryl couldn't speak, and he kept quiet because he didn't want Rick to know.

Then again, I think realistically, we were possibly just meant to think that, being the sick puppies we are. Unless they're planning to kill Daryl off soon (highly un-likely), I don't see how that would be feasible to incorporate in the show for any length of time, just as they couldn't
Spoiler
chop Rick's hand off in the show
.

(Spoiler refers to something that happened in the comic that wasn't feasible to film. In the timeline of the show, it would have happened by now, so it's not a spoiler of a possible future event.)

Dwight said that, not Negan

Meh, po-tay-to, po-tah-to. Whomever it was, it didn't bode well for Daryl. In fact, Dwight saying it makes it worse. It's not as if he had the 'authority' to really offer Daryl his bike back, so he would only say it if he knew Negan would appreciate the 'joke'.

You are right damn cheek who does he think he is!!
I'm really hoping his days are numbered, the writers will have to go a long way to redeem him in my eyes!

Speaking of which, where are the wolves?

Also, is it possible that Rick suspects there is a mole in Alexandria ?

Carol killed half of them when they invaded Alexandria. And the Johnny Depp one that Morgan held prisoner got killed by walkers becaue he practically sacrificed himself so Denise could get away.

I remember the leader taking a gun and then skedaddling with the remainder of the group. So they still exist.

The Five who escaped Alexandria ended up being killed by Rick when they attacked the RV.

So while there may be more out there all the ones we have seen on screen are dead.
