Looks like were back to the Negan's place next week. Sigh.
Actually next weeks episode will focus on Tara & Heath who went out on a two week supply run at the end of series 6. Tara doesn't even know that her girlfriend Denise has been killled.

Episode after will feature the sanctuary and then the next is midseason finale.

See, they had the fire engine zapping zombies a few seasons ago, and now the big giant tractor......are there no combine harvesters out there?

Nothing added to the story - really? Hilltop dynamics, Maggie gaining strength, more insight into saviour modus operandi, carl AND Jesus stowing away to attack the saviours in different ways, Gregory's power base slipping - seriously what do you want from this show? I'm the first to call out a boring episode but this season has been fantastic so far and different to what we've had previously
Thanks decobelle, I agree. I'm loving this season too.

Don't have to watch it, I mean what's the point if you're not enjoying it and will moan afterwards.

Does Hilltop have no one on watch? The Saviours managed to force the gate, build and light big bonfires and put the music car in place, without anyone noticing?
Think the whole point is that they are pathetically wimpy and badly-led. Mind you, they are not all massacring each other Rick-style so there has to be a middle course.

The bit with Maggie and the tractor reminded me of this

I can not think of any person more weak and vulnerable than a pregnant widow (and later, with a newborn baby to feed and care for) Adding that, her pregnancy is high risk.

I support girl power, I just think Carol or Michonne are more suitable for some badassery.

That being said, as a woman I would have been terrified of rape and sexual slavery in a situation like this. Like in Terminus.

I guess Enid and Carl do not think very far a head. Usually, teenagers are so calm, pragmatic and sensible

So we've got Karl and Sasha planning on killing Negan but I don't think either of them will, probably result in Sasha's death, Karl being kidnapped forcing Rick to come up with a plan. Lots of interesting things happening at the moment, looking forward to where it leads.
Has anyone else noticed that Jesus - while on a secret mission inside the truck - has just given away his presence to the driver by drinking the whisky and throwing the bottle away?

Incidentally, trivia buffs: I reckon this is the brand of whisky in question.

He threw the Whisky away but kept the bottle, presumably as it could be a long journey and the truck won't be stopping for bathroom breaks.

It is a bit of a risk but only if the driver actually checked the number of bottles in the box or if Negan and Trevor compare notes when they next meet up and if they do they may end up thinking the driver was the one who took the bottle.

Well, exactly, but the driver will know that someone was in the truck.

Only if he knew how many bottles were actually in the box and if he double checked them before handing it over to Negan.

of course Jesus may be intending to put the bottle back once he's refilled it.

Now that would be stupid of him.

That's what I thought. Jesus needs some dark peepee though

Wasn't it the last truck? I thought it was a bit weird they didn't close the back door though. I think he drank it just so Negan couldn't have it.

Absolutely agree. If people didn't see this, they weren't looking. This episode saw things changing. Perhaps it was too subtle

I know - I really think anyone not enjoying the plot and pacing at this point is never going to. This is the style that TWD is written in, always has been. It just really baffles me what people would prefer to see otherwise. They have to have episodes like last night's in order to build up to a conclusion.

My gripe is that the rest of the episode was filler fluff. Which doesn't sound too bad, but it was 90% of the episode.

Oh, and we already knew the saviours work by putting fear into those they control. I thought the point of that whole thing was to portray Gregory as weak and untrustworthy so that his authority could be challenged.

I guess they are positioning it to provide the motives such that all the non-saviour factions unite in some kind of Entente Cordiale and take out the Saviours.

Still think it was largely dull myself. Each to their own though.

This is a good shout, I was wondering how they would convince the different factions to unite. They indicated that Maggie could be leader of Hilltop, what's the odds that Morgan/Carol either become leader of The Kingdom or at least have a growing influence over the king?

No, but I reckon the driver of the truck would know that he hadn't drunk it, if it came to a quarrel between Negan (or Lucille, really) and Trevor.

I actually enjoyed the last episode. People are saying that Maggie should be weak and vunerable - but she hasn't been that for a long while. She was, when she was unwell, but I think the death of Glen actually made her stronger. She now knows that the baby only has her left, so she HAS to survive.

On another note - was anyone else impressed with Jesus' "assassins creed" parkour skills?

A so so epiosde for me

I'm not desperate for loads of action or loads of storyline but I am missing seeing lots of different storylines, ideally a bit of the kingdom, Alexandria, hilltop and the saviours all in one episode

Carl and Enid finding the skates was ridiculous! I still don't trust Enid and I don't understand why she was scared of one zombie after what she has supposedly been through?

I'm assuming its all being built up to the mid- season finale, and then we will get loads happening and a big cliffhanger then next 8 episodes will actually be really good

That's my hope anyways

Yeah, but remember he was showing them off when we first met him last season, so it's been established that he's very good at hiding and sneaking.

i thought it also showed that "trevor" wants to be Negan like literally be Negan (i know all the saviours are "Negan" ) but getting gregory to kneel to him and stuff..make people scared OF him rather than scared because he is part of Negans Saviours

i dunno might just be me though
