What I've always liked about the Walking Dead is the story of survival. The first half of this season has shown that Negan and his gang are thugs who bully and take what they want from other groups.
We have now seen that the Kingdom are supplying Negan, in their own way. So they have some control over there lives.
Hilltop are weak and are completely at Negan's mercy. But Jesus, Maggie and Sasha want to change that.
Rick is broken at the moment and is doing what he needs to do to keep what is left of his team as safe as possible. But Rosita, Eugene, Tara and Carl want to fight back.
Now we have this new group. They tried to fight back and paid the price so they moved and hid.
So each group all have their own tale of dealings with Negan and can learn from each other.
I felt last night's episode was interesting and added another piece to the picture.
When you add all these groups to the people in Negan's group who are not part of his elite group, to me it makes the whole thing interesting.
It has been slow but you can see where it is going and we needed to learn about all of the other people.
Rant over”

I think that most of what's being shown on screen is pretty much how things would be, as the woman from Oceanside said, it really is everyone for themselves now, with commodities becoming so scarce. The only thing I find unrealistic(apart from the fact it's a zombie apocalypse obviously) is the lack of winter episodes, which would surely be when things got even more unbearable.”
