Loving this season and another great episode. Although Negan is one disturbed individual I actually find him pretty funny, seem the more you stand up to him the more he likes you.

Carl was a bit stupid again though, but no surprise there.

It was okay, but I feel this season has lost its way a bit. The group is too split which means it's very disjointed. Odd how Carol has only been in 1 episode out of 7. Is the actress filming something else? I assume there's a reason she's hardly been in the show.

When Carl was forced to sing, I wanted him to perform this.

I agree with the leaning, why is Negan leaning all of the time? it is really off putting.

Liked this episode so much more than last weeks mess, cant wait for next week, Rick crying again! dont you touch Judith, Negan!

I thought tonight's was miles better than the last two weeks. Quite enjoyed it.

Negan is still a tad OTT acting wise, and the end was weak. But its setting the scene for what I assume will be the start of Rick finding his danglies.

Overall for me this season has been one of the worst, a mix of deja-vous with drifting into prolonged nothingness.

I have to say I agree with Spencer vis a vis Rick

The idea is that the George A Romero movies never got made in the Walking Dead world, so no one knows what is happening. Although in fact they are not always consistent with that in the comics, so I think they rationalised it later.

Not quite sure why Carl didn't shoot Negan when he had the chance.......after all he'd gone there to shoot him, he had an automatic weapon pointing at him, he'd already just killed 2 men so can't have been having qualms about shooting people....

why didn't he shoot him ?

or club him with Lucille during several opportunities he had to do that

Spencer is annoying as anything. I expected him to offer himself to Negan to join the Saviours, and then Negan to take him down!

Because when he had the gun pointed at him he instinctively knew that we're supposed to have another drawn out season and a half of this and what else can we do and we haven't even had the Negan origin story yet and oh god they're supposed to be loving this it was supposed to be amazing.

Really insulting our intelligence now, Negan should be dead but they do the scene in this piss poor way.

This didn't happen in the early series, pretty sure they managed to squeeze drama out of every moment.

What was the point of introducing the Kingdom if they can't be bothered to go back there again?”

A lot less time will have passed in the other storylines (2 weeks maybe) compared to Carol's (a month plus to get back on her feet).

They can't return to Carol and the Kingdom without that plotline getting too far ahead.

I'm guessing Morgan will return to Alexandria at some point and arrange a meeting between Rick and Ezikial but it won't be for a few weeks yet from Rick's point of view.

I was hoping he'd do Sex Pistols God Save the Queen with that mental Johnny Rotten face. Good episode, though. It's all very well to say 'hell, I'd kill him' but Negan's got the controlling abusive behaviour down to a fine art. How gleeful are we going to be when somebody finally gets him? We'll be just as bad, essentially. Sorry, my inner Gabriel showing there!

Did i miss something I was waiting for a payoff at the end at what Rick saw, what had him in the back of a lorry have to do with anything in this episode. Now Negan can just wander off anywhere without any backup, do the writers expect us to believe that not 1 person would at least stick a knife in his head while he is so relaxed all the time.

When Carl was saying he just wanted Negan and had him in his sights - I kept thinking of that line from Tuco in The Good, The Bad & The Ugly "when you're gonna shoot - shoot. Don't talk"

He picked the wrong gun, Negan knew that. If Carl had just used a pistol he could have got him but the fast rate of fire and recoil meant he could only get one person and some loose spray and was easily disarmed.

That's correct, the recoil from the first burst pushes the rife up so he was aiming into the sky, not at anyone

No, I think next week's episode is going to be Rick swimming across the lake of zombies to get the motherload of arms in the boat, and then getting it back to Alexandria without Negan finding out.

...personally, I thought the Kingdom and all its associated characters were a joke anyway - I for one would be glad if they never went back to it again.......

Anyone think Negan gonna take Rick's daughter to give to his wives to keep them happy and to raise as his kid.

Negan will be making a big mistake if he moves to suburban comfort in Alexandria, he'll never be able to take care of the folks in the power station if he is not giving them a daily glimpse of Lucille.

They are out scavenging and had parked up overnight after not finding much.

It was only in the morning that they realised they had parked next to a gate with a sign showing people were/had been living there and there might be stuff they could steal/find/trade for.

I think we have seen that gate with the sign a couple of times, so Rick would remember it, and of course Aaron the veteran Alexandria guy would have a good idea of where the other survivors in the area were, because he had spent years looking for them. I've also a feeling that Rick's guy was the hunter zombie up a tree that Spencer got the crossbow from. I'm assuming that he had been lying in wait for Negan's men at some point and had got ambushed.
