I wonder if it's one of the Oceanside women or Heath?

Loved the episode. The slower episodes had set it up nicely. I think knowing what Carl, Eugene and Rosita had done helped Rick to become reacquainted with his balls.

Did anyone catch the significance of the guy who visited Carol sneaking off to the hidden caravan ?
I thought it was just so you'd get a look at what he'd been storing. There looked like a load of stuff there to make Molotovs out of.

Either way - he's a bit of a hottie!

No, what was that? I thought for a minute it was the RV that Negan and Rick were in, but it wasn't - what was your take on it?
Well it was obviously hidden because it was behind that road sign

Maybe where he lived with his family before they all died ?

but it seemed that he looked around and was surprised at what he saw ..............like those bottles ?

I'm afraid I didn't get it at all........

I also thought he'd lived there before wiyh his family. The bottles were the same as the ones he was carrying at Carols. I thought he just seemed upset and frustrated that he can't seem to get anyone onside with regards to fighting back against Negan.

Yes, that makes sense, what Sheila and Croctacus both said. Looks likely to be stuff for making bombs and that he's frustrated that Carol & Morgan wouldn't help him.

Oh, it's all getting set up nicely for the three groups to join up, I can't wait. I not only want to see Negan get his comeuppance, I also want to see those two goons who were laying into Aaron get theirs too! And that Arat woman too, what a bitch she is!

It's the person who owned all the stuff at the lake, I think. He's obviously after Rick to revenge himself for taking his stuff. It's probably someone we've never seen before.

Could boot-man be the same guy that visited Carol ?

Maybe he's got a few stores of weapons and stuff in different places ?

maybe he thought Rick and Aaron were Negan's men pinching his stuff and that's why he thinks the entente cordiale is going to break down

Spencer is annoying as anything. I expected him to offer himself to Negan to join the Saviours, and then Negan to take him down!
Well if you were just guessing you were fairly accurate!

I really enjoyed this episode - after the dreary episode last week it was fantastic. I understand it had to be that way, for them all to reach rock bottom or intense anger (or both) to get to the point where they were ready to fight back (those who weren't ready).

I'm glad they are mostly back together, though how they will bring Morgan and Carol into it I don't know.

I think the man in the boots is the man who was talking to Carol and Morgan. If he wants to bring groups together to take on Negan he would have to go and talk to Rick and, through them, the other group.

Unlikely.

The bomb maker in the Kingdom like all Kingdom soldiers wears SWAT armour and presumably has good strong boots that came with it.

The guy watching Rick and Aaron had his toes sticking out of his boot.

There's an after credits scene on this episode btw.

Was there?

Still want to know what Rick saw from the back of the lorry that wasn't there before,
It was just the gate with the No Trespassing sign on it. It was too dark to see it when they parked the truck for the night.

.....the Hershel one always stands out for me
Ahh, you just reminded me of how powerful this show was. The image of Hershel in the jails with Ben Howard's Oats in the Water playing - gut-wrenching. Carol's daughter Sophie (?) emerging from the shed as a walker was pretty powerful too. I still love this show but those sort of moments seem few and far between nowadays. It's like Lucille took over and we're being bludgeoned to death over and over again. Eventually you stop caring and start picking on the small things. Inevitable, I suppose, for a long-running show. Still love it, though.

I hope they don't get rid of Negan this season, I think he is a brilliant villain.

Oh, I loved last night's episode so much! My fist is bruised from punching the air.

I have a feeling that boot-man is someone we know and have forgotten about. I don't know why I think that. I keep going through old characters that have disappeared but can't come up with anyone. I think if the governor wasn't dead he'd be a likely candidate but obviously not. I think he's an ally rather than an enemy, but I don't think he's the bloke who visited Carol.

Daryl, I love you.

Yes. The boot person must have followed Rick & Aaron back to Alexandria because the after credits bit showed the same person watching Father Gabriel on lookout duties. I also don't think they are a threat.

I've had a thought about this overnight - I think the boot person is one of the women from Oceanside (Croctacus mentioned this upthread) - probably the one who took Tara back to the bridge. If it was Richard from the Kingdom, surely they would've just shown him.

There was also a clip from next episode in February where Rick et al are at the Kingdom talking to Ezekiel. So this is where Carol and Morgan will find out about Glenn and Abraham and it will spur both of them into action again (hopefully - I'm not keen on chilled out Carol, I'd rather see psycho Carol )

And being as the women of Oceanside have a glut of weapons, I think they are going to join in the fight against Negan, so there will be 4 groups joining together instead of 3 (Alexandria, Hilltop, the Kingdom & Oceanside).

Roll on February, things look very interesting!

Spoiler
It is possible boots is the man who put out all the signs. I was sort of expecting his body to turn up if he was dead. The fact his notes were inside the boat would indicate he is a strong character. I say he because those feet look pretty big!

I'll have to watch this again. There's a few things I'm confused about. Why did Michonne kill the girl in the car? What were they actually looking at when the girl said "We are all Negan"?
What was the relevance of Rick on the floor of the cell with an axe and piece of paper?

Loved last nights episode

Felt like all those weeks of building up the feeling of dread spilled into this weeks mid season finale

Boots Man or woman, liking the intrigue going on there

The man trying to talk Carol and Morgan into fighting Negan, can we keep him please!

Question, the redheaded saviour and Michonne, what happened there, found it confusing?

Seems like Michonne did indeed get the silencer out of the glove compartment and shoot her, which seems a bit harsh. At any rate, the subtitles said "Sound of shot" Unless she had been one of the ones in the crowd when Lucille was making her debut.

I did think Negan was showing kind of super powers to realise that Rosita's shell case was second hand - from what I know from watching cop shows you normally need a microscope to determine that.

Just think he was having another "Oh, Lord, messed up again" moment.

They'll have to keep an eye on Gregory or he'll grass them up to the Saviours at the first opportunity

I was listening on my headphones and I heard the muffled shot
