Is Coronation Street worth getting back into?

I put my hands up and admit it - I went from a regular, die hard Coronation Street viewer to completely falling out of it. This was mostly due to the fact that the show was unwatchable - to the point where so haven't seen an episode since Tina died.

Now that we have a new producer on our hands - and one who worked wonders over at Emmerdale no less - it seems right to dip my toes back into the show. Is it worth coming back?

I think so. These last couple of weeks have been really good and I'm now excited to watch again - not just out of habit.

I think you've answered your own question really.

I think it is because I've noticed a definite improvement and there's some pretty good stuff happening.

I watch because I don't want to lose touch with what is happening (and am ever hopeful of an upturn in quality), but hopefully we are now turning a long-awaited corner so I think it might be worth having another look 🙂

A fortnight ago I would have said no, OP, but now I would say give it a chance and see how things go. I took a break from the show because of the quality but I have noticed a marked improvement since I tuned back in from Kylie's death.

don`t blame you some on her saying it`s going to get better i think it`ll soon go back to being boring again especially if there bringing back old characters it won`t work there older now don`t think the stuff they did years ago won`t be the same sorry but i think corrie has run it`s course

I'm loving it, a rapid improvement in the last few weeks, especially since Kylie's death.

There's still a long way to go but nowhere did I predict the sudden increase in quality over the last couple of weeks.

KO seems to be making the right moves (bringing back Peter, reintroducing Adam and Daniel) but it's still very, very early days.
