Apparently the BBC banned Ola from wearing catsuits on Strictly.

Agreed.

This made me smile though:

Quote:
“Speaking about Ola's reaction to the wardrobe war at the time, one insider told paper: 'At the time Ola was outraged, she thought it was a fix and another example of how they manipulate votes.

'She felt like the BBC were holding her back by not letting her wear the catsuit again.”

So wearing a catsuit was not designed to manipulate the votes then?

Wearing a catsuit was not likely to divert attention away from the lacklustre routine of bad dancing by her partner?

Catsuit, pivit, kneeslide, starfish, pivit ...

Her theory doesn't really make sense - why would they ban Ola's cat suits for being too sexy but be happy with some of the outfits that basically consist of a bra and pants with a bit of fringing attached It's not like they suddenly made her start dancing in sequinned overalls.

Just Ola having a moan and needing some press time

At least she did not have to dye natural blonde hair brown as Joanne did

Repeat endlessly, sigh 😩.

Strictly's kicking off again, she's just piggy backing some attention. Weren't catsuits deployed so that everyone looked at Ola's arse instead of her partner's dodgy dancing??? And, I'm sure that Lilia wore one first.

I never actually thought that the cat suits were that hot anyway, there have been far sexier outfits. I actually think that she looks sexier/better in the short jumpsuit in the picture with Sid Owen. And red lace, so tacky (she says sniffily, whilst clutching her pearls)!!!! The effect is also kind of killed by Chris Hollins' sex/poo face.

Having said that, Ola has never gone for subtle sexy, she is after all the woman who posed with milk running down her t*ts 😉.

They may have been worried that Ola's dancing was too much like simulated sex. One of the expert judges (Bruno) couldn't detect the difference - even on watching it for the second time.

The judges still gave it the highest score ever on Strictly.

I can pivot and do a kneeslide but I have never done a starfish before.

I loved Bruce's joke..

Ola told me the material for her dress costs over £5000 per metre.

I asked her: " how much did the whole dress cost then Ola ?"

She replied : "£2.50"

Joanne was told she had to dye her hair? Why?

Sir Bruces jokes are always the best Steve, he always has the audience in stitches.

That seems a little unfair.

No that was Gleb and Anita in the overalls. Was Gleb too sexy as well?

It was either that or let Jordans take over the world.

A fascinating insight into Ola's dance choreographing process

The 'catsuit controversy' was before my Strictly time and may well be the reason for her popularity.

I started watching in 2012 and to be honest, I started out by being really irritated by her 'sweetness', simpering and affectation.
Then the Karen incident and her 'so sad' face waiting to be papped and many more attention seeking dramas were to follow. This is just another one and I'm glad that Ola has left Strictly.

She's old news now. *yawn*

I heard this rumour years ago. The next series, Ola turned up to her first dance in...a catsuit. I don't think the ban existed.

I suspect that had already been done ... years before

This was the sole reason my fella started watching Strictly. One look at her in that catsuit and he was bitten.

Luckily he is hooked on the show now even though she is gone but I see him gazing wistfully at old calendars.....

I am quite sure her husband has pimped her for a new calendar, available for a consideration this Christmas.
