He doesn't get it because he is one of those that were convinced they had won it!
They all know they are going to get evicted eventually. To be fair I reckon he probably meant the shock eviction, rather than why him as if he didnt deserve it.
I think he really did think he had it won just from being goodlooking and flashing his backside occasionally. Arrogant tosser.

Yeah, I felt sorry more for Sam than Alex. Neither really did nothing & Sam really didn't do a lot wrong but Alex was becoming more intolerable last few days. He has been all over Jason & Andy particularly in the last few days. He's treated Evelyn like crap but she hasn't got the sense to see it. I'm so glad he's gone.

Are we missing something? From the reaction of HMs, who were shocked and upset and many of them said Alex was their rock, they couldn't have made it without him, that he always put everyone first...It sounds like he was the nicest, most supportive HM in there. How come we saw none of it.
He was so entitled....entitled to bask in Evelyn's adoration, entitled to have her be the apologetic fall guy for his vanity, entitled to sail through to the final.

He did appear very kind and genuine with people. One of the two who supported Jason.
The hate for the young attractive male every year on the forum is actually worse than the (usual) love for them by the public..

We kind of did...he'd always be there listening stoically, giving bits of advice. He was with Jason in the DR during his meltdown, for example. I think what we saw as boring and uninvolved might have seemed like a grounding, quietly strong, comforting influence to the HMs in distress.
If not for the Evelyn stuff revealing murkier traits, I'd have quite liked him.

My response to that is BOLLOCKS!!!
I put my hands up in saying I usually dislike the types of guys like Alex who are in bb every year simply because they get away with a lot and are liked for being male, young, white and attractive.
However I quite Liked Alex, he seemed like a sensible, decent guy who was being himself. Its shame we did not get to see more of him. I just don't get how that disingenuous, cringe bag Jackson was more liked than someone like Alex.
