Would have been happier with Evelyn out over Alex; the pair of them going tonight would have tidied their tedious situation away nicely never to be thought of again. As far as Evelyn is concerned I've simply had to reconcile total sense of humour difference to a lot of posters, I've been genuinely amazed to see any one person describe her as funny - other HMs I didn't care especially for, such as Laura, at least made me raise a faint smile on occasion - Evelyn not once. So for that vital reason she has never been an HM of interest, Alex ditto, as neither had anything else going for them in HM terms for me. If you find Evelyn funny I can see that would make a vital difference.

However that's a mere quibble, and you can't have everything, overall I'm just delighted to be sitting in for the first final for a long while where no strong feelings are involved, no bracing yourself for disaster, no 'Noooo, not them in the last 3, anything but that' etc - as per the above example. Shudder.

If Laura was there instead of Jackson, it'd be the best final for me in years.

My favourite usually comes third, so that'll be Evelyn or Jane. I see Andy and Jackson as the last two. Hope I'm wrong.

Exactly how I feel, Laura should have been in the final and last 6, she was such a good housemate! That would have been the best final for me too!

Hughie and Jackson aren't really top 6 for me.

I don't know about the demographic part -- though it's possible Love Island lured away a certain segment of the audience -- but I mostly agree about the evictions. Every one has been good for the show, including last night's.

However, I'd have preferred Laura to have stayed longer than Sam and Alex and for Jackson to be gone.

Those are relatively minor problems, though, compared to many other years.

The general consensus seems to be that Laura should be in the final over Jackson. As much as I prefer Laura to Jackson (not keen on Jackson) he did bring more entertainment. For me Laura only really hung with Evelyn whist Jackson mixed more once Georgina was gone.

My favs for different reasons are Andy and Jason however -

Hughie - winner - a great lad - annoying as hell alot of the time but really shone once that complete tw*t Ryan got the boot.
Andy - 2nd - Probably the best all round HM - brilliant in his sarcasm (a truly British thing) and had to overcome not being trusted which can't of been easy.
Jason - 3rd - Didn't help himself a lot of the time but had to endure more cr*p than most of the others put together. Now being shown in what I believe to be a truer light.
Jayne - Didn't like Jayne at all but she grew on me and like Jason is now being shown in a light that you can't help but adore.
Evelyn - Deserves her place as she's a decent girl at heart - overall hasn't really bought that much but has no bad edits.
Jackson - For me is gets in through the back door as he's the best of the rest that didn't make the final.

The cream always rises to the surface. Amongst the rest is some really bad HMs that added together is a good indicator of much that lacks in society today. Worst HM for me is a tie between Natalie, Marco and Ryan - mix them together and you have and you have a frightful mess.

The finalists are all individuals who were not part of a gang and who did not all nominate the same way as the other gang members and scream and shout abuse at the scapegoat.

The gang did what all gangs did and picked a scapegoat and piled nominations on one scapegoat. Numerically this mean that the likelihood of one of the gang being nominated for possible eviction is increased.

It has happened time and time again with a long list of scapegoats. But when the gang is led by and includes ignorant innumerate self-obsessed twerps, the inevitable happens. The gang is demolished and an individual wins.

We only see the highlights the producers give us anyway, so the view on who mixes with who is largely driven by whatever storylines they want.

Apart from Laura over Jackson I'd take Emma/Georgina over Hughie who plays up to the camera way too much.

They're the best bunch of finalists in a while except for Hughie and, slightly, Evelyn. Although I guess Evelyn will be first or second out.

I'd happily swap Hughie or Jackson for Laura. I really didn't like her behaviour re Marco BUT believe she has a heart of gold and was really looking out for Evelyn throughout the series and on BBOTS last night.

Evelyn is still very young (20?) and really needed that reassurance from Laura.

I really ended up liking her a lot and thought the booing was disgraceful!

Couldnt agree more.The best final we have had in years.It was a series of big characters and very good many have made it.Lots of surprises tonight as voted are going to split.

On this forum please.Jackson was voted most memorable housemate by the public.DS is out of touch.That poll was weeks ago and I voted in it.
