No, I don't think so. It's a shame because that would've probably helped him.

He might have been able to showcase more of a personality.

He did get involved, but in a show that is dominated by arguments, he had no chance.

Guy pure freaked me out.”

The points you all raised makes sense to me. However I don't accept the tired old tripe of he had no personality, sorry but what personality did Jason and Jackson have that earned them being in the final.

This is me speaking as someone one who wanted Jason do better than Alex. Jason favorite words most of the time was "I don't know what to say". The guy is a wet blanket who is quite clueless. He just got lucky because he was given a story line.”

The main thing, is that Alex's dictation is very poor. Now I don't know the cause of it. But, as you see it's not just one or two people who say they literally often fail to understand what he was saying! It's many people saying that. As I said that doesn't bode well on tv, obviously.

Jason has had a few KEY moments. Sometimes it takes very little to actually make an impact. But Alex has basically had none of those moments.

I really thought Alex stood a chance of winning like Aaron (BB12) did. Both were vanilla, but I suppose Aaron's romantic fling and southern accent made all the difference.

I disagree. There are always plenty of roles/opportunities housemates have to "get involved". Each of the finalist have their own persona; each of them have identities we can identify with---whether we like them or hate them---we can still identify with them. A housemate that exists in BB for a entire series leaving behind no sense of who he is or what he is like is a waste of a BB housemate space.

Well you've asked the wrong person there as I agree with you regarding Jason and I don't see anything from him besides being relatively nice and harmless. In my opinion Jason only gained such popularity because this forum loves an underdog/victim, and because he evicted Lateysha. I highly doubt that it was because of his shining personality.

Alex on the other hand has done absolutely nothing of any note whatsoever, and so his lack of personality seems even more apparent.

Aaron had to deal with Faye's crazy family and accomplished that with sense and good humour. What did Alex have to deal with? Zip. Because he didn't care about anything or anyone in that house.

Yeah I struggled to understand what he was saying at times, perhaps that is one of his biggest downfall, and maybe why he was not featured more.

I agree with you here.

I just think big brother is sometimes about luck, in terms of storyline rather than shinning personality which is why I bought up Jason.

It was really nothing remarkable, believe me. It's just that the forum favourite won so it seems to be remembered more fondly than it should be.

In fact.. it was crap.

How strange, I thought the complete opposite, I didn't think Cristian was dull at all and was a great housemate, outspoken yes, but nothing like the dull and boring Alex!

Alex was like part of the furniture, so, so, dreary and boring and could hardly string a sentence together!

This is how I remember Cristian, and don't forget also cowardly. Alex and him are nothing alike.

I actually quite liked Alex. My problem wasn't with him but with the fact I thought his looks and his connection to Vicky Pattison would have given him the win despite not contributing that much to the show, which would have been unfair imo.

I'm still gobsmacked he went tonight.

Sorry Darcy, I'm usually in agreement with your views - but like most of the 2015 cast, I just could not abide Cristian.

He was my favourite yes he is good looking but the reason why I like him because he is a nice, normal down to earth lad who did nothing wrong in the house. If he was this nasty person why did nearly everyone like him in the house I don't think we saw the best of Alex and this was due to the producers my favourite part of Alex in the house was when he was in others with Jackson and when he took the 5,000 cash

I have seen quite few people say this, I also did not like some of her tweets about Alex and would have hated for him to win in this way. However this makes my point in why I started this thread in the first place, some people are disliking Alex for things that have nothing to do with him and his character.(I know know that happens all the time with housemates)however this is a forum right.

He couldn't be understood when he did speak. His speech pattern could be sold as a cure for insomnia. He sat around being a hanger (which is what he is, he's a clothes hanger).

Alex was creepy, and objectively one of the most pointless housemates of all time.

He doesn't deserve these walls of text you guys are typing about him, seriously do something better with your time.

If you're looking at strong accents in the house then I t'ink Hughie takes the prize.

Alex ended up growing on me and I kind of liked him as the series progressed. My main issues were that he wasn't featured enough and I couldn't understand him most of the time. I use to joke about him by saying Alex who? but after a few weeks went by I ended up liking him as a fairly normal person. He wasn't in my favorites but he was likable/nice. Maybe he could have spoken more to Evelyn last night but who knows with this edited show. I think if was obvious he liked her but didn't "like" her....at least not enough to want a full on showmance. Maybe he could have handled it better but I don't get the hate or even dislike. I also like Evelyn, Jason, Andy and Jayne...the rest I am neutral on or mildly dislike.

The housemates seem to really like Alex. Probably more to him than was seen but not dramatic enough to show. Or interesting?!

I would agree if this were Channel 4 Big Brother where the entire show wasn't geared to manufactured arguments but when literally every task is either geared to insult your housemates to their faces every day or secretly try to aggravate them for junk food and you have someone like Alex who's level headed and not going to rise to it there's not much chance to showcases oneself.
