Not quite too sure why Andy would feel the need to bring up this conversation he had with Jason weeks before, seemed to me he was playing to the audience by insinuating that Jason had a problem with gay men?

I must say, that occurred to me as well. What an odd thing to remember from their time together.

I think Andy thinks that Jason has probably never mixed with a gay man like that before.

Like he's reaching out to the beefy manly men to show that gay men are just human after all.

he's such a poster boy for gay men haha

seriously though its great to see Jayne, Andy and Jason have a friendship and mutual respect for each other. something the younger bitter ones could learn a thing or two from.

I'm glad this was mentioned - it was such a positive episode for a change I didn't want to be doomy and gloomy but that's a couple of times now I've wondered if Andy is dropping wee things in to discredit Jason.

This, there was another wee thing and then after Charlie behaved appallingly and Jason freaked Andy rather unnecessarily threw in a, "Oooh, I can't not like Charlie..." or wtte.

Andy is aware there was a clique and they've been picked off so he must figure it'll be a non-cliquer the public are backing. I think he hopes he'll be the anti-clique vote but Jason has had all the focus lately and keeps surviving so maybe Andy has figured that Jason is his competition for the good guy vote.

Dunno. Just crossed my mind.

Andy didn't take offence to it, isn't it good of him to find Jason not guilty?

I thought the point was that Jason himself said he hadn't or he wouldn't have made the original remark. Whether there was any agenda I don't know but it seemed like a comment along the lines of 'look at all the firsts you get when you bring a disparate group together who maybe don't mix outside their own circles much'.. more or less as he & Jayne were saying previously, about meeting people you wouldn't normally & it being a change and an eye-opener &c.

Exactly what I was thinking, for me, Andy is playing the game in there just as much as any of the others, only he is playing it a lil more discreetly.

I don't think Andy meant it that way at all It was their very first conversation one on one and he was just illustrating how far they'd both come and how perceptions and first impressions change.

Jason who is a very masculine blokey bloke ( I quite fancy him ) and Andy could never have guessed they would have become such a huge support for each other. I think Andy looks up to Jason almost like a father figure.

They looked just as close as they have ever been on tonight's BBOTS I love their friendship.

Personally I don't want to get in a shower/go to a shower with another man when it's not necessary. It's not as if they are in a rush in the BB house. lol People can wait.

Nothing to do with gay or straight. But if you don't need to rush. Just wait.

This is something out of nothing I think.

My point was why did he feel the need to bring it up for the first time knowing that this would possibly be shown on the eve of the final?

And nobody was thrown off a building. Or pelted with Timotei bottles in the shower. Phew! All's well that ends well.

Oh for goodness sake he was talking about the first week and possibly their first conversation and it seemed to me it was a wry amusing comment from Jason which I thought Andy was getting at but unfortunately Jason is more po-faced nowadays than Andy has been accused of the whole series.

My only hope for Jason is when he leaves and finally calms right down he will finally be able to laugh again like clearly he could at the beginning of all of this.

Yea I can see that..maybe we didnt see the whole conversation..maybe it was just a throwaway conversation that people are looking too much into.

I hope you're right - I like him but it has crossed my mind before the shower thing tonight. That's why I automatically went there with this.

Tbh it's too late in the day to change my mind on him. I've liked him for the most part throughout. I'm done re-evaluating. Roll on tomorrow.

He was making the point about how they were in week one compared to how they are now and that neither foresaw how well they would get on.

It was like remember when you didnt really know me and you said that and now look at us, thick as thieves it was a who would have thought it type comment.

Andy wasnt making a point that Jason was being negative but just how he commented on the fact that he had never showered with a gay man before. He wasnt implying Jason had made a homophobic comment or anything negative just pointing out how well they got on and what each had done in the house, that they probably wouldnt have ever done if they hadnt gone in the house.

It was meant as - You never shared a shower with a gay man before coming in here and probably never would have, but now you have and I have done things I never would have done outside the house either.

I wonder why they don't show hms in the outside showers anymore?

I remember when Nadia won they loved showing close ups of her showering topless.

I must admit it crossed my mind that because of the reasons I have stated that Andy may have been "at it" but then again perhaps not...In the end, who knows?

The reason I started this thread was to find out your opinions, I have no invested "stake" in either of the two HM's, I just thought it may have been worth a discussion

Andy was feeling isolated and Jason saying that to him was Jason's way of letting Andy know he was not part of the "gang" and ignoring Andy, that's what I took from the conversation . .

Curious timing. And Andy introduced the conversation by saying that he never conceived of Jason and him being in the final together. He would have thought one or the other. Now, Andy is trying to rally what he probably perceives as a split vote (his fans are also Jason's fans) to his side entirely. Sly. That along with the father dreck.

You know what...I absolutely love Spirited Away, its one of my favourite films ever.

But I really wish to god that people would stop seeing the negatives in everything andy says...it was an innocent throwaway thing to say..If I was Andy id give up talking..but then again see how that turned out for Jason....dammed if you do dammed if you don't..
