He's going to win they've been giving him the golden edit this week.

Not airing his reaction to being most argumentative yesterday, not airing his "complain about your housemates" answer in the fun fair task today.

Hughies had it won since day 1, its more than just the edit thats giving him the win, its more his background/life story thats winning it for him.

I do believe that the traveller background is helping him, as well as his confrontational approach to people,.

Why would all irish people vote for hughie? That's the equivalent of saying all English people voted for Helen.

The way the fun fair task was going, everyone was being really nice towards their housemates, even when the cards had very provocative tasks. So it's possible that Hughie just gave a fun, inoffensive answer (like "Jayne, you're always cleaning!") that wasn't deemed interesting enough to screen.

Same with the courtroom task - he might have just argued his point and not made enough of an impact compared to something like Jason's dramatic trial.

You do know that NOT showing you during a Vote to Save or Win is detrimental rather than beneficial? If anything, showing Jason's breakdown, Evelyn's crying and Jackson's DR acceptance speech proves BB want one of them to take the crown, surely?

Hughie has hardly been shown the last couple days, which in a VTW, is very, very bad. So no, he hasn't got a "golden edit"

Another thought - in previous years, there have often been two really strong candidates vying for the win, like Helen vs Ashleigh in 2014. This year there's Hughie, and up against him is Jason and Andy (according to the bookies). And those two seem to appeal to different types of people for different reasons. As a result, the vote is split and Hughie has no serious competition.

Does anyone have any info. on tellymix's previous predictions v. the actual winner?

I think that his involvement with the awful Ryan (and those bloody "pranks") plus his dismissal of Jayne, who had very bravely backed him when they first entered the house, put Hughie out of the picture for many people who had initially liked him.

I agree. I liked him for ages but his petulant outbursts along with what you've mentioned really put me off him
