I guess I will have to reorder it later to get the premium one as I would think the ones ordered already will be standard.

TBH there's no reason it can't be that price, it's only an Nivida shield console, with a few bells and whistles added.

But it may have Mario, which is a bigger draw

Not for me, the new Zelda is the only game that might have tempted me to buy a Switch straight away.

It would make consider the purchase more for sure. With Zelda for me It would be a must buy. Now if that's true it really depends on this Mario game being up there with likes of galaxy.

Already got the Wii-U Splatoon.

I'll get the Mario game at launch what's a Nintendo without a Mario game.

That'll be FIFA then. Would be surprised if it were Battlefield.

Line up looks ok, want to try Splatoon, and looking forward to Mario. Can Splatoon be used in split screen on the Wii U ?

Probably. At which point t will be six months old, full price, and will sell terribly. So EA declares Switch a waste of time and withdraws support immediately.

Not online, unfortunately. It's an impossible feature for this game as you need a gamepad to play. You can do split screen in private modes though.

Splatoon is probably the best game this gen that few people have played. It's got that accessible, instant fun, competitive factor that is only rivalled by Rocket League in my opinion

So it's not Splatoon 2 they showed off?

It appeared there were new customisable options, so does that mean it's just an upgrade version of Splatoon on the Switch and not a sequel?

I think I'll just get the new Zelda on Wii U and hold off on buying a Switch for the time being.

From what I've read (rumours) it's very likely that a lot of the early games are going to be deluxe remakes of the Wii U version (a kind of 1.5). So Splatoon and Mario Kart might come with a few extra tracks/modes but it will essentially be what we've had before.

Oh right, thanks.

I was hoping for a Splatoon 2. We'll see what 1.5 has to offer.

So it looks like the guy responsible for a lot of Bethesda games, Oblivion, Skyrim etc has played with the Switch and is very happy with it and confirms Bethesda will be bringing something to the Switch.

I think they need to be careful of this, especially at launch. Pack the launch line up full of remasters and people will hold off. I don't really want a portable Wii U, I want the switch to be a game system in its own right and it therefore needs exclusives that utilise the unique hardware. It is a useful tactic to build a decent library of games in the quiet periods but it needs a system seller in that launch line up as Breath of the Wild isn't going to be there

Yeah read that yesterday, you do have to pay the full amount straight away though and I'm guessing Gameseek have insider info the base console will be £200. Don't think I'll be taking up their offer and now that Zelda isn't a launch game I'm in no hurry to get one anyway.

What about those of us who never got a Wii U? If the console didn't sell that well there will be a few around. So I'd jump at the chance.
