It looks like this will be just a taster, maybe a look at the concept and and the ideas behind it without going into too much detail about specs etc, probably some game footage and a release window teased too. I guess the full reveal will come at a later date, probably before the end of the year though.

I'm going to predict that the NX will end up been called simply 'Nintendo'.
I'm kinda hoping they move away from having the right analog stick above the buttons as I never got on with that setup on the occasions I've used the Pro & Wii U controllers. I tried getting used to it but for whatever reason couldn't & thats actually one of the main reasons I never actually brought a Wii U even though there are games on it I'd like to play. I also hope that it offer's a full home console experience. I know the common belief is that its a handheld that can be played on a TV & thats fine as long as when it's hooked upto a TV it's working like a console & providing a full console experience. |

So the Nintendo Nintendo then?
I think that they should leave it called the NX. |

I'm basically thinking of it like a reboot, Get rid of the numbers & sub-titles & just call it Nintendo. Nintendo's website crashed

Nintendo Switch:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5uik5fgIaI Not fond of the name but the concept seems cool. It is as rumored a handheld that can be put into a docking station & played on a TV as a console. |

Looks really cool. March 2017 release. Looked like a new 3D Mario around 2:10. One controller can be split for 2 players. Cartridges for games. Promising.

Look kinda cool. Hyped for Splatoon 2!
Should have stuck with the NX though, hate the name switch. But it's just a name. |

I know we're not supposed to give in to pre-orders and whatnot but OH. MY. GOD.
I genuinely love it. I was a bit down on the Wii, and was lukewarm on the Wii U (even though I do think it deserved to do much better than it did), but this looks like it's combining the Wii and the Wii U into one console AND giving you the ability to take it with you anywhere. Zelda: Breath of the Wild on the go?! Hell yes!!! I also loved the shot of the 8 of them sat in a circle playing Splatoon on their Switches, if this console takes off I could seriously imagine my friends and I doing the same thing. I'm actually seriously impressed, wasn't expecting them to show nearly as much as they did. |

So it's basically a handheld which you can take the controls off and use it as a portable games console, which has it's own docking system that turns it into a games console for the big screen...
Great idea... but would you really need it for all that?! I'm hoping this drives down the cost of the Wii U to £99 for xmas? |

Photo of console & controller. Looks crazy! Snap of the 2 parts with the thumbstick, pull screen out of dock/console, attach and you've got a portable console. The 2 parts of the remote are symmetrical so can be used by 2 players for multiplayer games http://imgur.com/DYgmvsI

I personally think they've left it to late for the hype train, the have 5 months to build the hype WTF!!!. Microsoft have started the hype train for the Scorpio and thats not released for another year.
If I was Nintendo, push back the release till June when sales are generally slower and people are often on the look out for something new. Get the hype rolling, get demo units into shops etc. At the moment they're going to get lost amongst PS4 Pro, PSVR, XBOX Slim etc etc. |

I didn't feel like I needed to buy a Wii U but the Nintendo Switch looks really good and it's a great idea. If it has the games ( I already want Zelda) than I'm definitely be buying one.

I was sceptical but I have to say that looks pretty cool. I'll want more details about specs, games and such but Nintendo may have something here.

This looks incredible, I've not been this excited for a console/portable for long time.
Their is lot potential depending on the developers. Lot people will buy twice just to be able to walk around playing their games. So their is benefits for developers too. |

Interesting, looks fun and a bit bonkers (like a console version of Transformers). Playing a full fat 'home console' Zelda or pokemon on the bus is certainly appealing. My main concern is that with a home console unit and a mini tablet and two slide in control panels and a home control unit this won't be cheap to make and so the RRP is probably not going to be low.
Also the sound of the sliding controller units (27 seconds in the trailer) sounds like cheap, low grade plastic that won't last 4 years. |

£150 or less RRP or its already dead.
Cant charge £250+ for this when you can get an Xbox One s and a game for the same price. |

Neat! I'm really impressed!
It looks pretty much like a new design Wii U console that you can take around with you. They really need to get their marketing right to avoid what happened with the Wii U though. Maybe I missed it in the video but it didn't look like the screen was touch enabled? I would be surprised if it wasn't mind you. One thing I'm not so sure on though is the name... Nintendo Switch? Hmm.... doesn't sound very imaginative. |

^^That could just be a dev/prototype unit. I must say I'm looking forward to this, it could be the console PC gamers might want/use

Judging by twitter reactions the hype has already begun and it's mainly all positive too. So I don't think they should push it back.

Nintendo handheld market is still a mighty market something even Sony couldn't dominate, so even at £250, I think this would do really well as long as it's marketed better. Combiing their handheld division and the console business is the best decision nintendo has made in years. |
