If Ryan was so deplored, why is Hughie so adored?

This has been puzzling me for weeks now...

They seem to share many characteristics: both perform shamelessly for the cameras, both love confrontation, both have potty mouths and vicious tongues(when they're not stuck down each other's throats) both "say it like it is", and both worship the ground Lateysha walks on

And yet, and yet... very little of the general contempt for Ryan seems to have stuck to the Teflon Prince. He remains hugely popular in the polls, and has been the bookies' favourite pretty much from the word go.

What is it about Hughie that I'm just not getting..?

I think Ryan is an idiot and I like Hughie

Ryan has been vicious inside and outside. Hughie just shouts and wants to be heard but I don't think he's nasty. He's just passionate and very defensive and just wants to be liked. The stuff I have seen Ryan say are disgusting.

Ryan has ruined Hughie completely. I've found Hughie brilliant in the last week.

We already knew about the odious scrote Ryan, he had already proved himself to be repulsive.

Hughie was new.

I am not a big fab of Hughie but I do believe he is who he is. I do not believe he is playing a game. I believe that who we see is who he is and he is not a bad soul. Just too loud for me although this week has has been great.

Ryan? Where do I start. Self absorbed, loud, self obsessed and superiority complex. Latching on to Hughie only because he is a potential winner. He is fake and transparent and I do not believe for one second he is a truly nice person. I think he plays a game, was a 'character' in that house and what we see is not exactly what we get.

I mean come off it - he gets a tattoo of someone he has known 6 weeks and utterly contradicted himself LITERALLY as he was the one to say "i don't like putting labels on anything"

Erm..................halloooooooooooooooo - Ryan sweetie, you don't bring the party..............you break and destroy the party!

I don't get his popularity either. I can see that he'd be quite endearing without the shouting and the not listening to what people are saying, but I don't see why he's got such a big lead after the way he's behaved.

Maybe it's because he stuck up for himself with Nasty Natalie?

Ryan is a complete ass!

Because they are two different people, and Hughie has been much nicer since Ryan got kicked out on his arse, voted out by the viewers, which he doesn't seem to understand. he still blames Jason for it, even though he was in the bottom three, and probably had the least votes to save or the most votes to evict. He's poison, and the sooner Hughie realises it the better.

That could be his new business model.

Advertise it on a website

"got a beef with someone?"
"want to ruin a good party?"
"want to cause depressing chaos on a tv reality show"
"then call ME I LITERALLY AM A CRAP PARTY"

The fact that Hughie has grown even closer to Jason even after that trial task where Ryan was harping on horribly about Jason proves Hughie has his own mind me. But yes at times he's influenced

Had Jason got rid of Hughie, Ryan would have never ever let it go in the house.

I can imagine spending ten minutes in a room with Hughie and not wanting to punch him, the same can't be said of Ryan

Ryan is a desperate wannabe and only "attached" himself to Hughie once he heard that cheers for Hughie and received confirmation from his friend from the outside world that he should stick with Hughie as he was popular.

Hughie, although, not my favourite has had a genuinely hard life I believe as it must take courage to come out as gay in the travelling community. Ryan's most difficult challenge appears to have been his ridiculous attempts at getting on BB (8 attempts)

In my opinion the fact Ryan has tried about 7 times SMACKS of desperation.

The reality shows / morning breakfast shows

The guys is just desperate for his 5 minutes of fame

His You Tube clips are disgusting he has no talent other than annoying the F out of people

He has no likable traits and I do not think for one second Hughie's family will be inviting him over anytime soon, they will be putting wee Hughie on the straight and narrow and making sure he keeps a wide berth!

yes, Ryan was born in Willa Wonka's chocolate factory, it's pretty expected that you'd turn out gay there

I wonder what Hughie will think when he sees Ryan's disgusting comments on Twitter and Youtube.

I don't know.

I liked Hughie very much before his allegiance with Ryan and the Bedroom lot. Put me off him.

Ryan is a different level of idiot. Hughie can be one but cant we all.

Hughie has far more potential than Ryan. He has a pretty decent brain going on in there!

How do you know that

Hughie grew up on a halting site, got hassled by his own community for staying to complete his Leaving Cert, (although obviously he didn't study Geography ), got hassled from outsiders who tar all Travellers with the same brush and has now revealed his sexuality on a television show. Which may well lead to more hassle for him.

None of the above is a reason to vote for him, but to say he's the same as Ryan is wrong. I doubt Ryan ever got beaten up for wanting to stay at school when he was 15.

I don't particularly care for either of them, no adoration here.
