I don't know about adored... But I do think the Hughie we see isn't an adopted persona. I can't say the same for Ryan, he's just a mess of falseness.

Imagine if a mad scientist took bits from a dozen different 'celebrities' and 'reality stars', stitched them all together and created the utlimate 'SUPER Z-LISTER... Have you imagined that? Good! Now imagine afterwards he noticed he still had a load of crap left over... Well that's Ryan.

Ugh, everybody is playing a game. You can see his mind in overdrive at times wondering how he should react. He's a bit too obvious though.

I don't get it either but it's so close to the end now and I don't care anymore. I would love Evelyn to win, tired of listening to the trouble riser.

Hughie has displayed some nice qualities especially when showing concern for other HMs but Ryan came across as a self obsessed attention seeker. Hughie has some growing to do. I'm afraid Ryan has grown all he's going to.

Its not a wig, he's just being nasty. Male pattern baldness is still fair game apparently but if you dare to suggest Laytesha is less than a svelte slim beauty its body shaming.

I think Ryan is "with" Hughie
hoping to steal Hughies moment of fame, and grab some media. I hope Hughies family can put him off the scheming little rat.

PS. Not that I'm a Hughie fan I just think he's a bit naive where the little gremlin's concerned

People forgive Hughie for being with Ryan for the same reasons they forgive him for being nasty - particularly to Andy - and for his desperate adoration of the Bedroom lot, especially Lateysha.

They INFANTALISE him - they praise him for the good he does - and they excuse everything else because he's 'young', or 'easily led' or 'immature' or 'background', or whatever.

And there is some dependence on his Mother sorting him out.

It's not really true for me - he is responsible for himself, and his choices haven't been particularly laudable on many occasions.

I think he is more fame hungry and more calculated than that.

Nevertheless, he isn't all bad, he has charm and is funny and is capable of kindness. How deep that all goes I sometimes wonder, but there you go.

You could argue there's goodness in nearly everyone deep down, the problem is it's hard to see most of the time. And Hughie is probably no different to others in that respect.

The infantalise point is good. Plus I suspect some just think he looks cute, which is shallow but that's how it often goes here.

People probably focus on Ryan being the bad gay diva and Hughie being a good one in contrast. Though I don't find his tantrums a joke, they just seem really annoying. Also people earlier on focused on Natalie as being bad in contrast to him.

Plus he gets the Irish vote.
