I am just thinking could it be possible that Peter Barlow is indeed the father of Leanne Battersby's baby. As a few weeks ago, Leanne and Simon went to visit Peter in Portsmouth, could the two of them had a one night stand in Portsmouth? It would make sense as Peter is coming back in the show, and according the article it says something happens will make him stick around. I would love Peter to be the father, rather than Steve. I loved Peter and Leanne together. Now that would be a twist if Peter was in fact the father and not Steve.

I have suggested that and it would be much better for Peter to be with Leanne again. IMO
She told Steve it's definitely his because she hasn't slept with anyone since however long it was. Was more than a few months.

I know the spoiler was revealed a few weeks ago but was hoping it'd be a red herring.
Rather it be Peter than to give Steve two children simultaneously. Only bright side is I'm sure that Amy will be thrilled that she gets two half-siblings even if they are by different women.

Peter was a bookmaker so I think he would be able to work out the odds on it being his. I'm so confident on this I'm putting 50 bucks on him.

But he's only just been announced as returning. So even if he started filming now, he wouldn't be on screen til early September, by that time she'll be 3 months gone.
She is only about 4wks pregnant from what we know. As we saw the episode with the 'Daddy' leaving her flat. How she even has sickness so early I don't know know.
Yet she keeps telling Simon 'in a few months' you'll have a baby brother or sister! No, not a few months, about 8 months actually that's a bit more than a few. And it'll feel like 14 months.
As an aside, I am absolutely hating Leanne's awful beige handbag (ugh!). That's enough to make anyone gag, let alone having morning sickness.

Is even peter stupid enough to believe that? Actually, yes, probably.
It would have been a good storyline (if a bit obvious) for Zeedan to have been the one night stand. Shame for the Nazir's - anger from Simon as Zeedan is like a bigger brother..... but against character I guess - after the Rana story.

I also am very disapoointed with this poor storyline. Some sort of sensationalism with Michelle getting pregnant (with Steve presumably, or will it be with the man she was seeing when Steve was in Spain?)) and she and Leanne both giving birth at the same time. Yawwwwn.

They've certainly accelerated the whole process so that she was having morning sickness when she was barely pregnant, but I take that to be the usual soap hurrying of everything, despite its improbability.
I can't see it being anyone else's but Steve's, but maybe Peter decides to help Leanne bring the child up?

They haven't even announced when Chris Gascoyne is going to return yet. When he does, it will around six weeks before he appears on screen and Leanne will have large bump by then, so anyone who wants Peter to be the father, forget it.

That would be an amazing twist esp with the leaked story...it definitely adds up, especially as she has been sick and realized she was pregnant soooo early after her supposed hook up with Steve. It makes much more sense to think it was a few weeks earlier with Peter. Though surely Leanne would have known if she'd had sex then and wouldn't automatically implicate Steve...
