Does anybody feel we are overdue a two hander episode anytime soon? It's been over 6 years since the last one. If so, between whom would you like?

I personally like two handers but I've read some people find it too long for an episode... do you think TPTB in EE believe this too?

I hate 2 handers. They are a long 30 minute drag and I think that's why we haven't had one in 6 years.

I think they missed an opportunity for a 'dark night of the soul' conversation between Ian Beale and Kathy Beale upon her return. Neither of the actors has had a two-hander and I felt there was more than enough history and weight to sustain an episode. However, instead we got the camporama of Kath in a bi-plane being ferried off to Honduras or somewhere.

I wonder why the team have never entrusted Adam Woodyatt with a two-hander?

I thought this too, it would have been great really.
I don't know, he is more than capable and probably one of the few characters with a good enough history and likeablity to actually substain a full 30 minutes.

I think they just don't trust audiences to sit through two handers anymore. Maybe it was a DTC thing and SOC will be different, we'll see. With that said, DTC has done a number of episodes with a very small amount of characters (around five or six) and they were generally pretty good. Hopefully the 'father son' episode on Thursday will be of a similar quality.

I want Fitney and Lauren to have a two hander - so that I can have a one hander!

I'd find a 2 hander with real people like Les and Pam endearing.

Only if it suits a storyline. Take Den's return for example. The two hander he had with Sharon was perfect and it give both characters a chance to have it out.

However most other 2 handers are just unbearable and a waste of an episode.

They should only do one if the right storyline requires it and that hasn't happened in 6 years so glad they haven't done one. Can you imagine how dull an episode would be if it was just Mick and Linda or Linda and ELaine. I'd rather have all my teeth pulled out whilst being driven over by a steam roller.

Not keen on them at all unless it's my two fave all time characters in Grant and Phil, now I would like to see that

Most of the characters introduced under DTC are not strong enough to carry a two-hander episode, which is probably why it hasn't happened. I mean, who wants to watch an episode devoted to Vincent and Kim? Pam and Les? Even Mick and Linda would be a rehash of every 'heart to heart' bedroom scene we've had from them on repeat since they arrived.

Characters like Phil, Ian, Sharon, Shirley, Stacey, Dot would be great in that kind of episode. Most of the others would be like watching paint dry for 30 minutes.

I think they missed an opportunity for a 'dark night of the soul' conversation between Ian Beale and Kathy Beale upon her return. Neither of the actors has had a two-hander and I felt there was more than enough history and weight to sustain an episode.
Absolutely. Kathy and Ian's reunion warranted a big episode, but what we got was rubbish. Even a four-hander episode with Ian, Kathy, Ben and Phil would have been great.

They know the audience couldn't stand 30 solid minutes of whimpering and blubbering.

Presently I can only see potential for one between Ronnie/Andy and Ben/Phil

Personally two handers drag for me. I don't mind 3 or 4 handers though but I don't want to see a long conversation for 30 minutes.
