Spoiler
though they let Alya move back in next week

Eva was a barmaid when she first came in so she didnt suddenly become a barmaod. anyways Liz gave her some shifts when Aiden sacked her, don't think we are supposed to think it is anything more than that, she must have carried on doing it cos she likes it and is grateful to Liz”

I was sure Aidan took Eva back on as his PA?
I know Alya hasn't actually been sitting in the office but she's still been some sort of management hasn't she?
As for Kate, I know she's officially in packing as I said but she does seem to spend an awful lot of time in the office sticking her two pennorth in!!

Regarding the two jobs thing, I agree with the poster who said simply because in real life some people have an extra job while some people don't!! You could also ask why does Anna work in the cafe and the Rover's or Tim in the cab office, while still cleaning wimdows

Well probably cos they wanna earn some xtra wonga!

Didn't Kylie have 2 jobs at the same time too?

She worked as a nail technician in the salon and a waitress in the Bistro (she shoulda stayed there)

Sally works at the factory and is also a councillor (or whatever she is)

Tim is a window cleaner and a taxi driver

Dev owns loads of businesses

And Steve is a pub landlord and taxi driver

But that happens in real life. There doesn't have to be a specific reason, however I've had two jobs when other people have only had one for the simple fact I wanted to buy more stuff!

Town/Parish Councillors get paid nothing as it is a voluntary role (my brother was one up until last years General Election when he decided he didn't want to stand again). Borough Councillors do. Expenses are only paid to Town Councillors in certain cases

I don't think any of those are available without leaving the street so she has to work there. You can't have people just commute to work in soap world you know

Parish Councillors get nothing, Town/Borough Councillors claim a Members Fee on average of 10k
County councillors also get a Members Fee
