Say it isn't so

Not you Erin.

And why? None of the things you worried about came to pass. No Alex win. No Hughie win. And you liked Jason.

Why go?

I hadn't planned on watching it after ditching BB17, and after seeing the 'leaked' line-up for CBB (they are always spot on these days) I have absolutely no reason to tune in.

If it has to continue C5 may as well schedule it on either MTV, 5*, Spike (who watches this channel ) or just sell it to ITV2 seeing as E4 would never take it back.

The abysmal viewing figures and general condition of the show certainly warrant a relegation to channel obscurity.

'Zelebrity The Only Way is Big Brother in Chelsea Island Shore' could be a hit!

I hope you will reconsider, this place just wouldnt be the same without you!

I have never missed a series, and its being able to share it with people like you that makes it extra special.

I hope you still drop by even if your not watching anymore.

I just accept that there will be some series that I just don't enjoy (usually due to line-up of HMs). I'll give up watching that particular series, but come back again the next year, usually finding it to my liking. I loved 2016!

I enjoyed this year bar the interferences, outside context and bad tasks

Take those out, IMO the cast were fantastic in every single way. Just a shame the production was poor. But the series was by far better than the last 2 years.

CBB is too addictive for me though. I love civilian but imo CBB is BETTER THAN C4 CBB.

On 4 we had the fantastic CBB3 and CBB4. But I really think the likes of CBB13 and even CBB17 could challenge most C4 series.

I've liked 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15 (mostly the first half), 16 and 17. It was only 8 and 11 which were below average for me. On C4 I found 1 (understand as it was short), 2, 6 and 7 below average...as does 5 was too depressing.

What abysmal figure are you talking about? This series of BB best last year and looks to best 12 and 15 too.

If you meant CBB. Then even more so! The last 3 winter series have done fantastically. Between 2.8-3.1m

If you only watched the first week of this series, then how do you know it was bad? And more importantly, why are you even bothering to write this much about a show you no longer watch?

Ridiculous thread.

I ended up really loving this year's BB. I didn't like all the outside information but every eviction* went my way and I liked all the finalists to varying degrees**.

*Chelsea may have left a little bit early. Andy should have placed higher but I wanted Andy or Jason to win so one of them had to leave when they did in order for votes to transfer.

**I didn't dislike any of the finalists. Jackson annoyed me at times but he seems like a nice young man underneath all the acting/drama. I was up and down on Hughie but I think he is also a nice guy underneath the hothead exterior. They are both young and will learn. Also despite these potential flaws, they provided tons of entertainment even if it was to laugh at them (in a good natured way).

This is one of mine favorite BBs and I wouldn't have been devastated if any of the finalists won. I am thrilled Jason won but they, the finalists, were all great HMs imo.

It's not a ridiculous thread at all! Typical troll-like lazy response instead of questioning or challenging the OP as to why their opinion differs to yours - which is allowed you know! Comments like yours are tiresome and add nothing to a debate!

robbelona is clearly passionate about the show and has been a viewer for a very long time, since the Channel 4 days, as have I. How long have you been watching BB?

When you have been a viewer since day one, as I have, of course, you expect a show to evolve to survive (too much in this case) but not for it to lose it's true identity altogether, which it has now sadly.

As an equally passionate fan of the show, I share the same opinion as the OP and I'm equally disappointed with what it has become. Just because we both made the decision to switch off early on into the series doesn't mean we haven't followed it, either on here, by some other means or are not in a position to comment upon it.

Is this the new 'literally'?

Channel 5 have seen the success of Love Island and are probably planning a dating show their own for next summer called Love Villa or something.

Agree with all this. I have enjoyed this years civilian though and think it's better than last years was. My main gripe is the continual stirring by BB to cause conflict, they need to rein it in a bit and bring some more fun into the mix.

I didn't watch last year or the year before, and maybe the year before that. But this year I watched every day - because Natalie and Lateysha went fairly quickly and Andy wasn't evicted by the public. Charlie and Ryan being dispensed with was the icing on the cake.

Still can't believe the public preferred the two clowns to Andy, but pleased Jason won if Andy couldn't.
