Game 7 of 8, already qualified. ![]() No place for Toni Duggan at training camp it seems, although I gather she's in Venice anyway. Training camp |

I actually do enjoy it, I just wish that my club had a women's team to support, as it is not really the same watching it as a neutral.
There are plenty of women's teams that you could support. I presume that you watch other sports. Manchester United don't have a rugby/cricket/American football team. |

If you enjoy it why not just go and watch an actual game? You dont have to wait for united to waste their resources on funding a club. |

I am female and supported football all my life including having a season ticket for 25 years - I have never enjoyed womens football despite trying to give it a go. It is slow, ponderous and for many games non-competitive when you've spent your life watching the mens game. Manchester City just won a league of 9 teams by a mile, having invested millions on developing the team and signing up all the best players because they were obviously offered the most money. They conceded 3 goals all season and the bottom team finished the season with something like 1 point from all games. How is that satisfactory or competitive? |

England Women take on France Women on Friday at Doncaster's Keepmoat Stadium in a preparatory friendly. Toni Duggan returns to the squad but there's still no place for Eni Aluko.
As far as I can tell this won't be broadcast by anyone but it would be interesting to see how the Lionesses perform against one of the top teams, friendly or not. I feel Le Sommer and Necib will be the ones to watch for in the French side but Necib does seem very temperamental. Sampson's Squad |

Good to see Scotland qualify. They really are becoming a decent team.
Maybe they could play instead of the men.

England 0-0 France.
Looks as though it was a good game although edited highlights often make it look that way. Toni Duggan did put the ball in the net only for it to be disallowed for handball which I'd have to agree with. England 0-0 France |

The draw for the Euros takes place on Tuesday. England are in the same group as Austria, Belgium, and Denmark.

I'm a bit befuddled with this Group business. At first it appeared that England were in the same group as Austria, Denmark, and Belgium. Then I read that they're in the same group as Germany, France, and Netherlands. Now they're in the same group as Scotland, Spain, and Portugal.
First game is against the Scots as well. Full draw |

Netherlands women 0-1 England women
I know it was a friendly but I'm not too sure what Sampson's playing at. Surely you play players in the position that earned them a call up in the first pace. ![]() Highlights Toni Duggan deserved a goal. |

I am posting this for any fans of the England Lionesses because I had the opportunity to interview captain, Steph Houghton MBE at the start of 2016.
