Are there any good 4:3 CRT TV's with progressive scan?
I have had some bad experiences recently with Flat screen TV's purchased from Argos.
All have been damaged in some way, whirring noises and a burning smell being the main problems. I have so far had two different Hitachi 4:3 flat screen TV's which not only had critical flaws but seemed to have actual serious design flaws as well. Everytime something brightly lit comes on the screen the entire screen goes darker to accomodate the light source. This has basically ruined my DVD viewing. Basically, I would like a 4:3 tv, about 21" and flatscreen, CRT and with progressive scan. I'm not sure if this is possible but would be interested to hear any recommendations even if they don't fall exactly within the specifications. Thanks. |

Not going to happen im afraid. Firstly the number of CRT's with prog scan that are availbale only require one hand to count. The only way you will get prog scan is on an LCD which is at least 23 inches and widescreen.

First - Why buy a Flat panel from ARGOS for goodness sake? What kind of quality do you honestly expect? :/

I even doubt you will be able to tell the difference on a small CRT anyway, RGB scart will look just as good even if it is interlaced.
