I voted for him - quite a lot actually! I like him so get over it with your sour grapes.

You are entitled to your opinion but I heartily disagree. To me, he was a great housemate. I don't get why it is such a surprise to you. He was always going to come 2nd at the very least.

Kindness, consideration for others and empathy. That'll do for starters.

When there was a bad or potentially dangerous situation, he took charge, while the likes of Hughie were just screaming and running around like the idiots they are.

When someone was distressed, he showed compassion for them. You could tell by the look on his face that he was geniunely concerned. The others just watched and often laughed, screeching, "oh my god is this for real?" or some such rubbish.

He didn't like conflict and did his best to avoid it, despite being bated like a bear. Most of the others tormented him, as did BB, to a point where he snapped. Many people would've kicked off long before he did. When he had his major explosion, did you notice the tone BB took? It was very soft and gentle. That was because they knew they'd gone too far and had caused distress to someone who didn't actually warrant it.

Finally, he looks damn fine in a suit!

Unlike Hughie, whose entertainment value was a function of his open, reactive, expressive and empathetic personality, Jason's entertainment value came from OUTSIDE himself. Simply put, Big Brother has never put someone through more HELL (Charlie, tasks, etc) than they have put Jason, and since he definitely did NOT deserve that treatment, the public felt the need to even the score.

Big Brother understands all this. They engineered all this drama and provoked the public's reaction, which is why they could not possibly allow him to leave two nights ago.”

I remember when the still alcoholic Denise Welch went after Michael Madsen, he tried very hard to keep away from her or to deflect her rants but in the end there were far more people who thought he was in the wrong that evicted him.

I think the days of tolerating women with obvious stalker/obsession issues, feeling sympathy for them and ire for the man, are well and truly over. It was uncomfortable watching her moaning on at him, hauling up old stuff that no one really cared about. Jason however, dealt with it admirably, when he ever tried to get her to see sense she'd raise her voice, turn on the tears and try to make him look bad. It didn't work. Her final rant in the courtroom task was the winner for him. Add all of this to him ditching the entitled Latisha and it was obvious the voting would go his way.

Hughie, bless him, he would have won if he'd had no relationship or picked Sam to hook up with. Ryan lost it for him. In my eyes, a vote for Hughie would have essentially been a vote for a nasty, vindictive little twerp. I think that's how many thought.”

I think these three posts sum it up pretty well.

This is me saving on the typing - I'm tired

I agree he deserved to win but not that Lateesha would have won with ease. I think she firmly believed that but I'm not convinced

I don't know if she'd have won, but I do think that Jason getting rid of Lateysha changed the face of the show and how it was going. We would have had a lot of focus on Lateysha I think, whether she won or not.

I do think that Jason changed the face of the show completely by evicting her - I don't think Andy would have got to the final, am not sure Evelyn or Jayne would have either to be honest, had Lateysha remained on the show.

For me that was the biggest event this series and a brave, bold move by Jason. For that reason he was the most pivotal housemate (in my opinion).

The anti drama, anti showmance, the most modest, the anti squeeling, the anti attention seeker and the anti clique won..Nothing wrong with that..

He didnt want to get drawn into any sort of drama or showmance with Charlie when he could have easily...She was begging for it and not going along with it cause him SO much strife, arguments and tension.

He didnt play bb's game and had to stand up to the tide against him, because they didnt get him...the clique made up stuff constantly to make him look bad (and still do) cos they didnt get him...They refused to listen to him when he wanted to speak..

In fact (apart from Evelyn) the older ones have shown how to have self respect, respect, understanding, interest and even how to hold a conversation...As I've said many times, how the f@ck do you react when you have to spend two months in what is basically a youth club..the immaturity and self entitlement shown this year has been on another level..

It's all been said !! He won because of his decency......

Charlie secured his win. She walked into that, 'Courtroom' & attacked him verbally with her foul expletives...... and BB allowed it

Kudos to the voting public ....... Didn't we do well xx

It is interesting that 3 of the oldest housemates were in the final (Natalie being the only one that wasn't). I think the producers should take note - we don't all want to watch a house filled with ONLY young people. A mix is good.

Evelyn and Jackson (I would maybe include Sam and Alex too) along with Jason Andy and Jayne were all HMs that could and did hold normal conversations, had empathy and respect for others and yet could still have a mad laugh or a rant and rage.

In short retro HMs. The sort of HMs that made the great BBs in the past, the sort that were interesting enough for you to want to get to know about them and to watch them unravel or develop.

The Ryans and Lateyshas are ten a penny, screaming drama seekers that are as deep as puddles and hold your attention for a nano second.

Simples. He also represented BB of old. A psychological experiment.

I wonder how many more of these posts we will see. Even DS is on the bandwagon:

Unfair poll really because most fans of all the other housemates will vote no. I don't care though because Jason won and I am delighted.

If we voted for who entertained us most the villains would win every series.

seen about 3 episodes since Georgina left and tuned in for the final to see this monotone, quiet, fun vacuum, non entity win.

funny. If this doesn't kill off this show then nothing will.

I don't know except that it seemed as though voters felt strongly about him one way or the others which is why he seemed to get a mix of cheers and boos. And only just missed eviction when Laura was evicted being in the bottom two although I believe their wasn't much between him and Jackson. It all depends who your up against.
Think he may have got some Andy voters at the end.

Hughie I wonder if his fan base in Ireland were allowed to vote because the message says votes outside the UK would not be accepted. Southern Ireland is not part of the UK .It's a separate country.
There appeared to be only 1% between the top through.
I did support Jackson but would have been happy for Andy or Hughie to win.
It did seem that Jason supporters put a lot of votes in whereas as far as I can gather most Jackson supporters only vote a couple of times .I did actually vote 5 times last night.
They clearly weren't expecting Jason to win as the Irish dancing finale showed.
The true winners whatever position in the final particularly the final 4 but maybe others well only know in time! He did get the most votes !
That can't be denied !
Not quite sure what opportunities will come his way from this ?
Thought every single one of the finalists took every position they came in with pleasure!
No sour grapes from Alex or Sam either. And they had a rough deal .
😃 If Jason proves to be a worthy winner will remain to be seen. I admit it was a surprise as didn't think he had the best run up to the final but their we are😀

I doubt they will tell us but, if Emma is to be believed, there was only 1% between Jason and Hughie.
