Empathy vote to win then.

Other than being a really nice gentleman what else did he do in that house?

In regards to the entertainment value?....

Or did he just sit there a lot of the time looking sorry for himself?

Exactly this. I would like to have seen Evelyn or Andy win because of the way they were in the house. I am one of the people that voted for Jason because of the way he was treated by Charlie, Lateysha, Ryan and BB. He wasn't the loudest, most fun, most articulate HM, but he was instrumental in most of the key events. The best moment of the show, by far, was him evicting Lateysha - he deserved to win for that alone. People vote for many different reasons and all those reasons are valid. People voted to get rid of Ryan, Sam, Alex, Laura and Charley, so they have no right to complain about Jason winning. The majority didn't want them, they wanted Jason.
Loving your posts OceanBreeze. You are detailing many of my thoughts, but more articulately than I could.
Bless You

That would depend rather subjectively on how you view Big Brother.

If you view it as a 'living soap' then his story within the house was fairly prominent.

If you view it as a 'cabaret show' then he did nothing of note at any point.

This year the 'living soap' audience voted the most. Next year the 'cabaret show' audience might.

I'm still hoping it will go back to being an experiment haha.

Or at least a bunch of bubbly, funny, 'normal' and relatable people.
