Yes it could be glitzy visually but gritty in how it approaches and explores moral issues.

I personally feel that an appreciation to some extent of moral ambiguity makes us better people rather than fundamentalist and polarising in our mindset and outlook.

Yes whilst I wouldn't want a new soap to become a political soapbox I do think characters discussing political hot topics and being controversial is desirable and the lack of this in other soap's makes them sometimes feel like the story takes place in a bubble protected from the reality of UK life and politics eg poor portrayal of poverty in regular TV soaps

Lot's of good sport's I enjoy watching during the Olympics -water polo, Kayaking, Judo, Canoe Slalom, beach volleyball etc
