I just want to apologise for being arsey over that Gay thread remark last night. I have no idea why though to be honest. I am a bit sensitive when i see things like that. I am normally the type of person who laughs at anything. But it just bugged me a hell of a lot last night. I just hate stereotyping and labels.

Fav Madonna album has to be erotica. It's much more than just the "sexy controversial album" it was at the time of it's release. The lyrics, production and themes are just wonderful and so different. Only Madonna would release an album like Erotica. The way the album delves deep into sexuality is mindblowing and so raw. Also, very groundbreaking as well.
You're alright!

I'm very sensitive as well and soon take a joke in the wrong context especially if I don't understand it, people are always saying I have no sense of humour or that I'm a misery guts and I get eye rolled at least three times a day!

I like that you even answered my post because a lot of people have ignored it but I suppose it's because of the Olympics which I'm not really interested in so I chose a topic that I am interested in, Madonna!

Thanks

and you are welcome

I really got into the olympics back in 2012 but just have failed to take notice this time around. And as soon as I saw Madonna mentioned, I knew it was a topic i could talk about. Same with the previous topic about 80's primetime soaps.

Go on then!

Start by answering my Madonna question, if you don't like her you only have to say!

I don't some object to her as a person at all. Her music, I would say a lot of it is rather lame but there are a good dozen or so songs which are utter genius and I really love so it's a mix for me. I am not much of a hater of people usually and Madonna is often loved or hated but for me I like her without the love really.

Only a dozen?

Oh I am disappointed!

I had assumed you would be a big fan, oh well, can't have it all can you?

So which are the dozen songs then?

I like most of her older songs but I suppose that's the fanatic in me and I probably have a lame taste in music then as I like Pet Shop Boys as well!

I should also add to my previous post that I am a huge music fan and go to concerts regularly and have been to a variety of artists my taste is very eclectic.

I have been to see The Eagles, Gary Barlow, Jamie Cullum, Queen, Eric Clapton, Robbie Williams, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, Wet, Wet, Wet, Olly Murs, Paul Rodgers and many others

Wet Wet Wet is the band's full name!

They are a Scottish band and had a legion of number ones! Google them they are great!

I'm proud my maid's are so uneducated as it shows that they prioritise working on their chores for me!

Well we'll have to discuss PSB at some point then.

I guess I got caught up with Madonna in my youth, she was everywhere and it didn't seem to matter that she didn't have a big voice because she was so charismatic and could dance and looked good on video, I suppose I've never grown out of her and even though I admit she's not the most original performer her music is feel good and catchy, good for dancing to and singing along with.

I do like Queen and The Eagles but I guess I'm more of a pop fan, especially synthpop/new wave/new romantic stuff from the 80s. I actually joined these forums for the music section but a person can't discuss Madonna in there without threads getting trolled, (even a person I voted for turned out to be a troll with multiple accounts) which is why I posted the Madonna thing here.

I do like Phil Collins/Genesis and Peter Gabriel though.

Did you not know that Wet, Wet, Wet was the band's full name or were you just being sarcastic?

Danny!

But I think he was being sarky.

But then again, I'm sure it was him yesterday who said he didn't know any of Madonna's songs.

I don't have a clue who they are, but I was playing about the name. I've never heard of them though?

Yeah that was me...

Is that the same Aaron who said that Madonna has a dozen good songs but won't tell me which ones and who says most of her stuff is 'lame'?

And Danny who has never heard any of her songs and doesn't know who WWW are?

Double

Bring them to Herr Flick's dungeon and he will shoot them for being 'collaborators'!
